Earlier this month H20 Wireless, a mobile virtual network opperator (MVNO) which on the AT&T network, increased the data allowance on their $50/ month unlimited plan from 100 MB to 250 MB. Today another AT&T MVNO, Red Pocket Mobile did the same.
Red Pocket's unlimited offering is called Red Pocket 3G. It costs $49.99/month and like H20's $50/month plan includes unlimited talk, text, picture and video messaging and $2 worth of international call credit along with the 250 MB of data.
Unlike H20, where once you use up your 250 MB you have no data for the rest of the month, Red Pocket lets buy more data when you run out. Unfortunately the rates for overage data are rather high, 10 MB for $10 or 25 MB for $25.
You can use any unlocked GSM phone on Red Pocket provided it supports AT&T's 850 mHz and 1900 mHz frequencies. Red Pocket charges $19.99 for a SIM. Red Pocket is also unusual for providing telepone support in four languages; English, Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog.
