Once again, T-Mobile's is giving away a free $30 refill card with new phone purchases. This time it applies to all prepaid phones at T-Mobile.com that are priced at $50 or more Both new and existing customers can take advantage of this offer. Shipping is free on all phones.
Unfortunately, T-Mobile also raised the prices of
most some of their prepaid phones last week. For example the basic QWERTY Nokia X-2 went from $62.49 to $74.99 and the refurbished T-Mobile Comet Android phone jumped from $100 to $124.99. The biggest increase was on the refurbished LG Optimus T Android phone which went up $30 from $119.99 to $149.99, effectively wiping out the $30 savings from the free refill! What's especially weird about that is the brand new Optimus T is also priced at $149.9,9 removing any incentive to buy the refurbished one!
Update: T-Mobile has rolled the price of the Comet back to $100. The refurbished Optimus T price went down too. Currently the Optimus is listed twice on T-Mobile.com once at $119.99 and then again at $82.42! I suspect the second price might be a mistake so hop on it if you want it.
One phone did get a price reduction however. The price of the refurbished Samsung t359 :) (smile) dropped from $69.99 to $49.99, which is nice except that the price cut makes the t359 ineligible for the free refill by a penny!
These T-Mobile refill deals occur nearly every month but usually only last a couple of days so hurry if you are interested. I'm afraid the price increases may be permanent, however.
The free refill offer has ended
