here as coming soon" at a price of $199.99. The only specs listed on BestBuy are: 3 MP camera, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and a 3.2 inch screen.
According to PhoneNews.com, the Optimus Slider is the same phone as the LG Gelato Q. The Gelato Q's screen resolution has been reported elsewhere as 320 x 480 px, and its CPU as a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon.
With the exception of the CPU and the keyboard, the Slider's specs seem similar to Virgin Mobile's best loved Android phone, the LG Optimus V. The Optimus V has a 600 mHz processor, the Slider's processor has a faster 800 mHz clock speed and is based on newer, faster core technology (Cortex-A8 for the Slider, ARM9 for the Optimus V). All of which means the Slider should be even snappier than the Optimus V.
Update: The page listing the Optimus Slider from has been removed from BestBuy.com. That's not surprising, the page was obviously made public by mistake, retailers aren't supposed to leak un-released products. I'm still very confident Virgin Mobile is getting this phone.
