LG's L75C QWERTY Slider Will Be Straight Talk's Second Verizon Android Phone

PhoneNews.com is reporting that Straight Talk will launch the LG L75C, a variant of Verizon's LG Enlighten, an Android phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard in the "next few weeks". The phone's tutorial and manual (download PDF, view online) are already online.

The LG Enlighten has been available on Verizon postpaid since September and except for the shape of the buttons below the screen is identical to the Virgin Mobile's LG Optimus Slider and Net10's LG Optimus Q, both of which use the Sprint network. Based on the images in the tutorial, Straight Talk's version uses the Net10/Virgin Mobile button layout rather than the Verizon one. The phone's specs are fairly modest.
  • Camera: 3.2 Megapixel Autofocus Camera and VGA (640 x 480) Camcorder
  • Music Player: supports MP3, WMA, unprotected AAC & unprotected AAC+
  • OS: Android 2.3
  • 3G: EVDO rev.A
  • Bluetooth: 3.0
  • Web: Android browser with Adobe Flash 10 support
  • Processor: 800 Mhz Qualcomm MSM7627T Snapdragon
  • Dimensions: 4.5" x 2.3" x .58" (114 x 58 x 14.7 mm)
  • Weight: 5.54 oz (157 g)
  • Display: 3.2 inch HVGA (320 x 480 px)
  • Battery: 1,500 mAh
  • Talk Time: up to 6 hours
  • Standby Time: up to 22.9 days
  • Internal Memory: 150 MB
  • External Memory: supports microSD cards up to 32 GB
I expect the L75C to be priced similarly to Net10's Optimus Q and Virgin Mobile's Optimus Slider, which both sell for $179.99.

    1. The Proclaim is thinner and lighter and has a larger screen and a faster processor. The Optimus Zip (the only Straight Talk Optimus that runs on the Verizon network) has a hardware QWERTY keyboard.
Unless the keyboard is a must have feature for you, get the Proclaim.

  7. Only the LG Optimus Zip has a camera with auto-focus. That is required for barcode scanning.

  10. It's a pretty decent phone till the damn touch screen quits responding, Had this same problem with two of them. (of course this happened not long after the warranty ran out) $318.00 for two junk phones that barely lasted over a year.

    1. I know what you're saying dude, I had the same problem with my screen acting up not long after my warranty ran out as well plus mine had horrible reception about 90% of the time and when i sent text messages to anyone the person only received like half of the message every time. I sold mine on ebay as a parts unit, Got $50.00 out of it considering i paid $159.95 for it, Twas a waste.
