New Boost Mobile ZTE Warp Sequent Android Phone Launching Sept. 17th

Sprint's Boost Mobile will be launching a fourth new phone this month. The first three, the Samsung Galaxy SII 4G, Samsung Galaxy Rush and Samsung Array were announced at a press event last week. The fourth phone was revealed today in a (PDF) newsletter for Boost independent retailers.

The newest addition to the Boost lineup is called the ZTE Warp Sequent, and is the apparent successor to the ZTE Warp. The Sequent's features include:

  • Android OS 4.0, aka "Ice Cream Sandwich"
  • 1.4 Ghz single core processor
  • 4.3 inch qHD (540 x 960 px) screen
  • 5 MP camera with LED flash
  • Visual Voicemail
Based on the image of the phone in the newsletter, it looks quite a bit thinner than the rather chunky Warp. The Warp Sequent will be available at Boost dealers starting Sept. 17 for $199.99 plus tax.

  1. With all the problems the Warp has, why would they name this the Warp Sequent?? Shouldn't they want us to think this is something ELSE!

  2. I never had one single problem with my ZTE Warp. I bought when it was first released. Still have it and love it.

  3. The original Warp is a good phone hardware wise, but the software is complete crap. When this phone is released look for an unworkable source code to follow. :-(

    1. Model number is N860 You can find batteries easily by searching for "ZTE Warp battery" or "ZTE N860 battery".

  5. Do you know any more about this phone? Especially if the internal memory is about the same as the ZTE Warp itself.

    1. Nope, nothing new really. The @evleaks Twitter account just discovered the Warp Sequent today so all the tech sites that missed the original leak are posting about it now. The only thing new is that Android Authority is speculating that the phone may have an Intel processor. No new specs however.
