Today Only Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III and Two Months Free Service $319.98

Virgin Mobile has put their flagship Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE phone on sale for $319.98 for one day only. That's $80 off the phone's regular price of $399.99. Shipping is free. The sale ends at 7 AM Eastern Time tomorrow 7/23, while supplies last.

In addition, new Virgin Mobile customers who purchase the S III during the sale and activate the phone on a new Beyond Talk account will receive a $70 account credit within 30 days after activation. That's equivalent to getting two free months on Virgin's most affordable $35/month Beyond Talk plan, which comes with unlimited messaging and data (throttled after 2.5 GB) and 300 voice minutes.

Update: The sale is over and Galaxy S III price is back to the normal $399.99. However the $70 account credit is still available for customers who purchase and activate the Galaxy S III or the $179.99 Samsung Galaxy Ring by 7/31.

  1. It's a great deal to someone new to VM. It's a bad deal for those that had pruchased at $400 and didn't get the $70 credit.

  2. As a VM customer for years, I was waiting for a web deal on the S3. Even at $400 it is still the best price from any prepaid carrier. $320 is a steal. I find VM and Boost phone prices in general to be the best around. I was considering going to T-Mobile for their $30 plan but $350 for an S2 and $550 for an S3. Outrageous!

    1. The LG L9 is only $200 for the $30 plan.

    2. Ptel promotion of 25% off the Optimus G2X, $157.50, or the Nexus 4 for $280, is good enough. Both are unlocked and work fine with the $30 Tmobile plan.

    3. marty you can get a gs2 on craigslist for 200 or a lil less and a gs3 on there for 350 that is right and you will find a lot of better deals on craigslist than from t-mobile. most people keep there phones in great condition barely used check out craigslist.

    4. I recommend avoiding Craigslist for phones. There is no way to get your money back if the phone becomes unusable because it's reported stolen or lost or the previous owner didn't pay their ETF. Cowboom, MobileKarma and even eBay are safer

    5. You can even lose on eBay. I bought a "new" phone that broke after the eBay guarantee had expired, before 1 year. LG repair center told me the phone was a refurb, and would not repair it under warranty. BBB complaint went nowhere. Cowboom selection varies a lot, but at least you can buy an extended warranty. I have bought several phones from MobileKarma and like them a lot, but they will not sell you an extended warranty. Also, NewEgg advertises 30-day return and 90-day warranties, but they make you contact the OEM and document who-what-when-where before exchanging the phone after 30 days. Wastes your time. You have to save a screen shot of the 90-day warranty to protect yourself with them. GameStop.com sold me a "premium refurbished" phone that came with a defective silencer switch and was covered with deep scratches. At least I could return it to a local store for a refund, and only lost my shipping charge.

  3. I sell on craigslist just like I do on Ebay, treat people how you want to be treated.

  4. Why buy a GS2 on craigslist used for $200 when you can buy it new from VM for the same price. I still fee VM offers the best prices on new phones. You are however locked in to VM. On that note I have been with them almost 3 yrs and I have no complaints with service.

    1. because you were talking about looking into t-mobile and gs2 hspa+ on t-mobile is way faster than wimax gs2 on sprint. dennis/yeswap will even tell you that. unless you getting a new lte device on sprint's virgin or boost you can not compare the network of sprint wimax to t-mobile hspa+. and like i said craigslist you can get a lot of great deals gs3 around 350 or 400 on virgin or boost no comparison plus way cheaper than gs3 than t-mobile sells it for 589 lte version like i said if you looking to switch you can catch a high end recent t-mobile phone on craigslist for cheaper than t-mobile. and like the guy said above he sells on craigslist just like i do and i have never been ripped off when i bought a phone from somebody. all you do is put your sim in the phone make sure it works people aren't that petty. been buying and selling on there for years no problem.

  5. If I were to tether to a tablet would VM know about it or does that throw up the same red flags at VM as tethering to a cpu?
