$200 iPhone 4 and $405 iPhone 5 at Virgin Mobile

The Virgin Mobile Web site has marked down it's remaining stock of the iPhone models that were discontinued when the 5S and 5C was launched in October.

Current sale prices are:

iPhone 4 8GB $199.99 (was $349.99)

iPhone 4S 16GB $359.99 (was $449.99)

iPhone 5 16GB $404.99 (was $549.99), 32GB $494.99 (was $649.99), 64GB $584.99 (was $749.99)

All models are available in your choice of black or white.

These are the best prices I've seen anywhere for these iPhones models. Monthly costs are low with Virgin Mobile too. Plans start at $35 for unlimited messaging and data (speeds throttled after 2.5 GB) and 300 voice minutes. Plus Virgin Mobile iPhone users save an additional $5/month if they sign up for auto pay.

  1. Dennis, is the Virgin Mobile iPhone 5 unlocked? Could I eventually use it with AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon?

  2. I think vm iphones have been the most painful to unlock. Would stay away from it. Usually the 20% price reduction happens right before new phone introduction. And once introduced the apple unlocked one is only 100$ more. The consensus has been wait and buy the official unlocked one.

    1. Thanks for the advice on that one. Methinks I will take it. Besides, I'm holding out for Aio Wireless introducing services to my area.

    1. there are a lot of iphone 3GS that are still being offered around the world. many of them refurbished, but the 3GS is still a very reliable and very stable smartphone that can use the current iOS 6 (but not the upcoming iOS 7). we're talking about the iphone 3GS and not the older cranky iphone 3G.

    2. I bought 5 refurb 3GS in the past 6 months for me, my wife and our 2 sisters (1 spare). The last 2 cost $90 ea, and they all look and work like new. I think they work better for calling than the 4 and 4S, since they are lighter and feel better in the hand with the curved back. You don't have to spend much to buy another if they are lost, stolen or damaged. No need to buy insurance. The 3GS runs the latest iOS smoothly and quickly.
Apple Store trade-in program and the 5S and 5C intro will mean lots of refurb iPhones at lower prices over the next few months. These trade-ins are not going overseas as some people have reported.

  4. As of Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., pacific time, the iPhones at Virgin Mobile are now into day two of the one day only sale.

Could it be that Softbank didn't meet their sales goal for the one day sale?

    1. The iPhone 5 is back to its regular price but the 4 and 4S are still 20% off.
