PrepaYd Wireless Gets LTE

Sprint MVNO PrepaYd Wireless is now offering LTE 4G data. A special $60/month LTE plan and refill PINs are required. Currently the plan and refills are only available through PrepaYd dealers not online.

PrepaYd hasn't publicly announced LTE but the following message was posted today on the PrepaYd dealer portal:

PrepaYd Wireless is pleased to announce we now have 4G LTE! Our LTE $60 Plan offers Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Global Text, MMS, and 4G LTE Data is available for $60 per month. Our LTE plan is currently only available for customers that activate at a Dealer location. Our existing Y $60 plan PIN and RTR topups are only valid for 4G WiMAX Devices so please make sure to only purchase and apply the LTE $60 Plan PIN and RTR topups for phones that have 4G LTE technology. The new plans will be available on epay after 12pm Eastern Time. Please contact Dealer Support with any questions.

Sprint LTE coverage is available in 230 markets (list). Sprint's LTE network currently provides average download speeds of 6-8 Mbps and can deliver up to 25 Mbps under ideal conditions. PrepaYd can activate most Sprint LTE phones except iPhones and phone models released in the last 12 months.

  1. Is this the best price for Sprint LTE unlimited? Can you avoid the taxes with a pin through their dealers?

    1. Its right with all the other Sprint MVNO's right now except for Boost/Virgin Mobile but you can bring devices like the S3 to prepayd. If you buy the plan from dealers most don't charge taxes unless your in their state.

    2. PrepaYd has to follow Sprint's rules regarding blocked "iconic" devices just like every onther Sprint MVNO.

The S3 is not on Sprint's list of blocked devices so any Sprint MVNO that supports BYOSD should be able to activate it.

Phones that are on the block list like the S4 or HTC One can't be activated on PrepaYd .

    1. The S2 is a Boost phone and can't be activated on any Sprint MVNO. The Samsung Galaxy Epic Touch is Sprint's version of the S2 and it can be used on MVNOs.

Cheapest depends on your usage. For light use, FreedomPop, Ting, RingPlus, Eco Mobile and ChitChat would all be less expensive than PrepaYd. For unlimited Eco is less expensive than PrepaYd.

    1. That's possible with the Note 3.
The blacklist on iconic devices started Nov 15. Phones activated before then are grandfathered. However if you swap another phone on to the account you won't be able to go back to the Note 3

Recent Android phones like the Note 3 that are sold by MVNOs aren't blocked, only BYOSD ones. So if you bought your Note from PrepaYd, Ting, ChitChat etc if can still be activated or reactivated

I have no idea how you activated an iPhone 5S on PrepaYd as that's supposed to be impossible

  4. HTC ONE , SAMSUNG S4 AND IPHONE5S AND I KNOW THE IPHONE 5C GREEN VERSION ARE ALSO WORKING ON PREPAYD WITH LTE . BUT UR ARE RIGHT ONCE U CHANGE ESN U CAN NOT REACTIVATE IT

  5. Byosd is being messed with by Sprint. If they take over Tmobile, they might screw up byod there too. Who knows. It'll be all LTE by then anyway...
