Boost Mobile just launched a new promotion that gives new customers who purchase an LTE phone six months of service on the Unlimited Android Plan at a reduced price of $35 a month. That's a savings of $20 per month over the regular $55 plan price.
The plan includes unlimited voice minutes, unlimited text and MMS picture messaging and unlimited data. There is a soft cap on data, after 2.5 GB have been used the data speed is reduced to approximately 256 Kbps for the rest of the plan month.
After six months the plan price goes up to $50 rather than $55. That's because the six months of service counts toward Boost's Shrinakge discount that cuts plan prices by $5/month for every six timely plan payments. The maximum Shrinkage is $15 which brings the plan price back down to $40 after 18 on-time monthly payments.
In addition, Boost also has an ongoing promotion giving new customers who purchase certain phones a $30 account credit. It's a bit confusing as some phones get both the $30 credit and the $35 promo plan price and others get one or the other but not both. Check below to be sure which phones get what.
