  2. I know this has been asked many times but I've been getting mixed response. can anyone give me an affirmative answer as to whether or not virgin mobile unlock their iphones if not is there any way to unlock it for international use?

    1. Virgin Mobile does not unlock phones. A SIM interposer like R-SIM might work for unlocking depending the phone model and iOS version. Interposer unlocks aren't very reliable as iOS updates can break them.

  3. I dont understand why virgin would not unlock devices like say after 6 months of service! then they dont have to hyper discount the phones. I dont understand if they are willing to discount it to 40% when compared to others ... how long will it take to recoup the cost of the phone. They should be getting really desparate! Might wait till it hits 50% off and get them as a ipod touch with GPS! :)

  4. I have the S3 with VM for about a year. It is a great phone and at $225 a great price. IMHO nobody discounts phones like VM. The only problem is they are proprietary to VM only. Not such a bad thing. I have been with them for a few years now and service has improved. If Sprint works in your area VM offers a good value.

  5. I know Virgin locks down their Androids pretty tight. Can a Virgin Iphone 5c or 5s be used on ATT or T-Mobile like a Verizon model?

    1. Unfortunately not. Virgin Mobile iPhones are locked and can't be used on any other operator.

  6. Appreciate the fast reply. Is that just a SIM lock? Can a Virgin Iphone be flashed to a Verizon MVNO like the Boost Moto G?

    1. I don't really follow the iPhone Flashing scene. It's best to ask the person flashing it. I believe at one time the Virgin iPhone 4 and maybe the 4S could be flashed to Verizon. But flashing iPhones is tricky and may not be possible depending on the iOS version. I've heard that iOS 7.1 phones currently can't be flashed to Verizon.
