Cricket Launches the Lumia 1320, its First Windows Phone Phablet

AT&T's Cricket Wireless brand has launched the Nokia Lumia 1320. a "phablet" or near tablet sized phone. The 1320 is priced at $229.99 after a $50 mail in rebate. It's available now from the Cricket site and Cricket dealers and features a 6 inch (1280x720 px) screen. Full specs are listed below:
  • 6 inch 1280x720 Clearblack HD Gorilla Glass 3.0 screen
  • 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor
  • 8 GB internal mass memory
  • 1 GB RAM
  • microSD support for up to 64 GB cards

  • Weight 7.76 oz (220 g)
The Lumia 1320 is designed to be a modestly priced phablet with a high features to price ratio. Compromises to meet a lower price point include relatively low spec cameras and modest internal storage. But for anyone who likes large screened Windows phones, the 1320 is a less expensive but still very capable alternative to the $549.99 Nokia Lumia 1530.

For more about the 1320 see these CNET and Engadget reviews of the unlocked international version. When reading these reviews keep in mind that Cricket's version of the 1320 supports all of AT&T's LTE bands unlike the international version which supports none of them. The Lumia 1320 with US LTE support is currently a Cricket exclusive model

The 1320 will work with Cricket plans priced at $40 and higher

  1. Dennis. Why no CDMA prepaid love from Microsoft? If the 1320 was on Verizon Prepaid, I would buy one.

  2. Windows phones suck! It's almost comical how much money Microsoft is good at wasting.

    1. Stop trolling. Windows phone doesnt suck .Consumers chose The os mainly by UI and app ecosystem and some people like WP's offerings.

    2. PC Mag readers don't agree. In the latest Readers Choice awards, Windows phones tied overall with iOS and Android on Verizon, and beat Android on AT&T. The only area where they were rated lower was on the availability/quality of apps.

  4. I am definitely interested in this phone. WP is great! I didn't think I would like but I love the Lumia 520. Excellent screen and call quality. However, I will probably wait to see if this ever gets below $200...

Awesome price on an amazing phone. Does anyone know the process to get an unlock code from the new Cricket OR an inexpensive source for Nokia unlock codes? Does this phone support Tmobile's 1700 / 2100 HSPA data band? Thanks

Sorry I inadvertently shipped over part of the thorough description that specifically mentioned the T-mobile frequency.

    1. Thanks. More details from the press release

The Lumia 630 seems to be similar to T-Mobile and MetroPCS Lumia 635 minus the later's LTE with a 4.5 inch 480 x 854 pixel Gorilla Glass screen, quad-core 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor and a 5MP autofocus camera. Should be a nice phone even at the regular $99.99 price. It's a shame they removed the LTE, however.

Cricket is also putting some other phones on sale tomorrow including the Lumia 1320 for $179.99 and the Samsung Galaxy Express for $149.99. The sale prices are after mail in rebate and require the activation of a new line of service on an unspecified "qualified" plan.
