  1. Nothing groundbreaking here.

  2. $25 for an LTE sim? Wow, that's quite a rip off.

    1. You must be new to Kitty Wireless. :) $25 for something PagePlus sells directly for $5 is pretty much par for the course. (If you follow the Kitty link, they even have the gall to claim that $25 is the "industry standard price"!

    2. I amazed that some just want to give their money away like that, but yet they are probably using prepaid to save money. Confusing! I just paid $2.50 for a PagePlus SIM via EBay.

  3. Kitty wireless is one of the bigger rip-offs in pre-paid. They try and convince that they are needed, or you will never be able to get cell service on your own. Overcharges for everything.
Its a newbie place for pre-paid.

    1. I was a MVNO newbie 5 years ago when I discovered KW. I stayed with them, and bought the discount club early on, so I have saved 8% for almost 5 years. Her phones and SIMs cost more, but you do not have to buy them. It's the 24x7 automated services and excellent customer service that make KW worth using, IME.

  4. If you're on PagePlus, http://www.prepayrefill.com offers 10% off pins everyday without a coupon code and monrhyl auto-pay at 9% off (I'll gladly give up 1% for the convenience personally).

I've got no affiliation with them but switched a few months back and have had absolutely 0 issues to date. They also offer 1% back in account credit for future purchases but last I knew, that didn't apply to auto-pays.

There's a large thread stickied on HoFo about them if you want other reviews.

    1. I just discovered them and switched last month. You can't beat that deal.

    2. Thanks! Great pin prices without joining a club. Their sims are only $5.99 too.

  5. Let's see how long prepay refill stays around. They're only a few months old and I've already seen customers complaining about some things with them. KW has been around for nearly 5 years and is a tested and stable resource. I like stability personally. I don't need to be jumping from one place to another just for a lower price all the time.

    1. Actually, prepay has been around for lot longer than a few months. They have only recently started advertising. They will be around for a long time and without drama.

    2. Maybe you're a Kitty Wireless employee or troll? What evidence is there that customers have been complaining about anything? In contrast, an active HoFo thread seems to indicate that prepayrefill is generating a lot of happy customers:

  6. Shame on you Kitty. Club members should get $3 sim cards...rather than triple charging. Prepayrefill and exclusivecellular will be around for awhile.

    1. Everything on her site is overpriced. It is a shame.

  7. I've used a number of places to buy PagePlus refills over the years including Kitty Wireless, but I stopped using them since their prices are not competitive. The fact that that they recently starting charging a $3/mo. surcharge on their autopays and have unconscionably high prices on SIMs pushed me to look elsewhere. It's actually cheaper to buy directly from PagePlus.
One thing that Kitty does offer is their own online discussion forum that has some useful information along with a healthy dose of their own marketing spin. Reading the forum you get the impression that the main focus of the business going forward is their newly started MVNO rather than PagePlus. In fact, Kitty's comments about PagePlus and its new owners Tracphone are increasingly critical.
The last couple of months I've been using the site mentioned above www.prepayrefill.com to buy PagePlus refills. They've got very low prices and fast delivery. I haven't tried them for autopay yet, but might in the future after I have more experience dealing with them.
I don't have any particular axe to grind with any of these dealers and I'm not loyal to any of them either. I take my business to whoever offers me the best deal.

  8. I have a PayGo plan on PagePlus and have been feeding it every 4 months for about 6 years.... I used to buy refills from the PP site itself but a while back, after the Tracfone takeover, they started adding ever increasing taxes and fees to every fill-up.

Last month I tried out prepayrefill for the first time. Paid them via paypal, was sent a refill pin and used it successfully to top-off on the PagePlus website. I have to sign out and sign back in on PP's site after a refill to force the new balance and expiration date to show.

It worked perfectly for me... hope that continues and I saved a couple of bucks in the deal with promo discounts...

  9. Kitty has been bad mouthing Page Plus for a long time. Just a matter of time before she is dropped as a dealer. Same as Genious Wireless. Once she loses PP, she will be gone. Not enough money in the MVNO she is telling all to switch too. Be carfeull if your using auto pay with her. Its going to happen fast.

    1. Kitty defended Pageplus for more than a year after the sale - told people not to worry, things were not going to change any time soon, etc. She is the biggest dealer, so I don't think she is going to go anywhere. If the new Puppy takes off, that might happen in the future, but it is irrational to think they are not going to commit business suicide. I do think it is interesting that my service and pin club benefits have been extended to Puppy at no extra price. Their 5c/minute, sms or mb pay-go looks tempting.

    2. It's interesting that she was basically saying she was committed to PagePlus 100% before the 4G launch. Then came the 4G launch and the announcement of PagePlus' Ohio call center closing, she became "anti-PagePlus" and 100% not committed to PagePlus. Now it is 100% Puppy. Kitty is 100% committed to the almighty dollar. I think KittyWireless is a decent dealer, but her rants and rude responses leaves a bad taste in my mouth. She should leave the forum life to an employee who is not emotionally connected to the Kitty Wireless. I wish Kitty Wireless well, but I am looking for greener, Kitty and Puppy-free pastures.

    3. Before you jump on her, Am Movil is squeezing all Pageplus dealers like they did with Simple Mobile dealers after buying. Probably broke a lot of "promises." Changes your business case and ROI. Messy business. I don't mind her straight talking. She delivers great service.

  10. She does no defending lately. If you want to stay with Page Plus, get your pins elsewhere. She will gone very soon. Her forum is dedicated now to Puppy. The last rant she got on PagePlus, mysteriously her forum crashed the next day. All the posts on this rant about them never got restored. Page Plus is not going to sit back and watch a dealer mock them at every turn.

  11. "Her forum is dedicated now to Puppy."
This is not true. There are several new threads on Pageplus that are active, and more posts on older ones.
