First Month at Half Price For New Page Plus Activations

Online PagePlus dealer Kitty Wireless is running a Page Plus activation promotion this month. During September Kitty will activate a new line on any Page Plus monthly plan for half the normal monthly price of the plan.

The promotional pricing applies to both new activations on a new number and port-ins from a non-TracFone carrier to a new line of service. Ports from the TracFone brands (Net10, Simple Mobile, Tracfone, Safelink, Total Wireless, Telcel America and StraightTalk) are not eligible for this promotion. There's no activation fee either so the first month of service is really half price. The following plans are available:

  • $12.00 $6.00 250 minutes, 250 texts, 10 MB of data
  • $29.95 $15.00 1500 minutes, unlimited texts, 1 GB of data
  • $39.95 $20.00 unlimited minutes, texts and data with the first 1.5 GB at high speed
  • $55.95 $27.50 unlimited minutes, texts and data with the first 5 GB at high speed
  • $69.95 $35.00 unlimited minutes, texts and data with the first 7 GB at high speed
The prices in bold are what Kitty is charging for activation and the first month of service. After the first month customers need to pay the regular price listed in strikeout font. This promotion is strictly an activation and first month deal and does not tie customers to Kitty Wireless in any way. Going forward customers can use any dealer, including Kitty or Page Plus itself to renew.

Click here to order a Page Plus activation or port-in.

Page Plus operates on the Verizon network. High speed data is throttled to 5 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up. On the $39.95 and higher plans which include unlimited data, speeds are throttled to 64 Kbps after the first 1.5, 5 or 7 GB of data is used.

If you are surprised to see Kitty Wireless promoting Page Plus rather than its own Puppy Wireless brand, the reason is simple. Page Plus changed the way they pay commissions to dealers effective Sept 1. Dealers used to have to wait a month or more for commissions which were paid in airtime PINs. PagePlus is now paying instantly and in cash. I wouldn't be surprised to see Page Plus activation promotions from other dealers because of this change but Kitty seems to be the first.

  1. There are other tracfone brands than those listed. I am assuming those don't count for the promo either? (total wireless and telcel, there may be more?)

    1. Ports from any TracFone brand are not eligible for the promotion. I've added Total and Telcel America to the post, I don't think there are any others.

  2. Given the throttled data, it's a shame those promo prices aren't permanent.

    1. I agree. There always seem to be a higher price to pay to have the "privilege" to use Verizon towers.

  3. Kitty has been telling people for months now to stay away from pageplus for various reasons, none of which had anything to do with what she was getting in spiffs. NOW when the spiffs are instant cash she wants back in? Now pageplus is good enough for her customers?

Nothing else has changed other than the money kitty can get from selling pageplus. Yep, but it's all about the customer hey? lmao

  4. What about the preaching she's been doing about keeping jobs in the USA? It was "stay away from ppc because they are a greedy foreign corp". But now because the money is instant cash it's all cool now? Who has the corporate greed here now?

  5. I would not be at all surprised to see clubs being offered for sale again very soon for kitty's puppy mvno. It is apparent the bills have come due and money is tight and she's gonna get it wherever she can even if it's selling ppc who she has spent the last several months berating and convincing her customers to leave.

  6. I don't care who gets me on Page Plus as long as its at the best price. If Kitty is doing it at 50% off, I'll go there. Who is gonna give me 51%? Anyone?!?!?

  7. I truly hope that every time there is a kitty or puppy wireless news item we don't have to read this crazy negative stuff. I don't use kitty or puppy wireless but I like to read this site and keep up on the prepaid news. This stuff that keeps getting written borders on psychotic. It's crazy! I don't know who you are but you really need to examine whats important in life. I don't mind negative comments that contribute to conversations but this is getting ridiculous. For what it's worth

    1. I didn't write any of the above but why is it psychotic? Kitty says stay away and now suddenly offers pp...that's odd in my book.

    2. Look around this site at the other articles and I think you'll understand what I mean. I'm not just talking about these few comments.

    3. I stopped caring about Kitty Wireless when they refused to accept me as a customer years ago.

No other MVNO ever did anything of the sort.

Anyway, no amount of blatant shilling by the Kitty Internet Defense Force will change the fact that they're not a reputable dealer.

  8. And there is now yet another shift in vision for kitty wireless, does it ever stop? Dropping support for new ppc customers they sign up. Does kitty have a clue what she wants to do?

I'm tellin' ya folks, that dealership and mvno is a mess.

And to paraphrase kitty in regards to her again promoting ppc after bashing them for months ' tracfone/ppc is making me do this'. haha wow.

Kitty has chosen to get back in bed with tf/ppc who she has been advising all her customers to port out of for months. Key point is that it is kitty's choice.

    1. Puppy Wireless is questionable at best...no wonder they're coming back to PPC. Kitty has the rudest forum moderator I have ever seen.

  9. I just got an LG G2 donated to me from a listener of my station when my Galaxy Note 2 from US Cellular started to act up. I could have put it on Page Plus because it offered 7GB of data for $60. But the issues some have had with them and the fact that Verizon does not block the non USB WiFi tethering when I use my PDA Net app which I have a lifetime serial number for made it a clear choice for me. Yes I pay $60 and get 2.5 GB of data but if I run out I can buy 3 GB more for $20 and it lasts for 90 days. So it makes it cheaper for me than paying $70 for US Cellular and paying an additional $90/Mo for the prepaid Verizon hotspot. I'm very happy with my G2 and my Daughter in law loved my phone so much she bought a unlocked G3 and put hers on AT&T where they also allow tethering. Those two are the way to go for real data users who want full speed and tethering.

    1. Just bought the Verizon G2 and am thoroughly impressed. My last 3 phones have been LG, they run flawlessly. The battery life has been unbelievable.

  10. Kitty website is now basically turned off. This isn't looking good. I have been a fan of theirs but now I am convinced that it is time to port my numbers out. I hope that goes without problems.

All these upstart low budget mvno's seem to go through the same slow death. It seems to have started with this one too.

    1. Dishonest post. Web site is being modernized, something that many detractors said was needed. Now they are doing it, and post implies that KW is going out of business. Probably has never been with KW, or would not mislead people like this. Get a life. Nobody with half a brain believes this crap.

  11. My advice is to stay away from puppy wireless.
This is a post from the owner last night on her open forum:

"I've been researching franchises. McDonalds, Sweet Frog, Subway, Dunkin Donuts.... And others. Starting to think I could earn a better living doing that. :-) this industry has gotten ssssoooo messed up in the past two years."

Not exactly instilling confidence that puppy will be around much longer. Obviously in a tailspin now.

    1. Their problem is that they are growing too fast, not "in a tailspin." Nobody believes your selective quotes, taken out of context.

    2. Out of context? Kitty typed those words, lol, they have context all on their own.

  12. Another post by the owner of puppy wireless from last night:

"I'm just being human and real with you, plonk. Every time I try to do something, I get picked apart about it. I'm so tired of it. The money in this business is dwindling drastically, and I'm really having second thoughts about whether this is worth it to me and our family long term. I'm too far in, right now, to get out, so I'll keep going, but gosh darn it...."

I think the writings on the wall here folks. Looks like another failed vzw mvno.

    1. Your dreaming. You turn: "I'm too far in, right now, to get out, so I'll keep going.." into "another failed mvno." Isn't going to happen; they are growing PW very fast.
