Walmart Family Mobile Adds 2GB to Monthly 4G LTE Data Plan

Walmart Family Mobile 5GB 4G LTE

Good news to all subscribers under Walmart's Family Mobile T-Mobile MVNO! Apart from offering the lowest priced unlimited plans, they have started to offer up to 5GB of 4G LTE data.

A few months ago, Walmart Family Mobile upgraded their plans by offering up to 3GB of 4G LTE data. But after just a few months, they have decided to change the data cap and add more options for their customers.

  • $29.88/month - Unlimited Talk, Text & Data with up to 1GB of 4G LTE data
  • $39.88/month - Unlimited Talk, Text & Data with up to 5GB of 4G LTE data (up from 3GB)
What this ultimately means for customers is that they will be able to enjoy browsing more on their device without paying for more. They get an extra 2GB of 4G LTE data at the same $39.88 monthly plan.

    1. Does WMFM have tethering?

    2. Yes, per Family Mobile Terms & Conditions "Tethering your Device to other lawful devices is permitted pursuant to the terms and conditions and allotments of your Data Plan."

    3. No thanks. I don't like to pay tax. I like MVNO that don't charge sale tax or the tax is already built into the price like Metropcs.

    4. You pay tax either way. What you like is "transparent pricing".

  3. Does WFM have voice and text roaming? I did check the website, but only saw international roaming.

Looks like TMO has recently added coverage in my area (at least according to WFM coverage checker) if yes, this would be great, as I have to date lived on the dead zone borders of both S and TMO native.

Really want RW to go multicarier, but this mayh pus me to look at TING or USM if WFM coverage checker is actually accurate.

This is what I want, $20/mo unlimited SMS (1000) 100min and 500mb, dont need more than that, dont want to pay for more than that.

    1. WFM has the same voice and text roaming as T-Mobile Prepaid. It's labeled "Partner" and is gray in color on the WEM maps

    2. DB, what is WEM maps? Or was that a typo for WFM maps?

  5. Is WfM a pre-paid plan, or post paid?
In Calif, prepaid services have NO taxes and fees. My Boost $55 plan is $55 even. My gf's MetroPCS $50 promo plan, is 50 all in.

    1. I guess it no longer matters, CA just announced Jan 1 taxes also, on pre-paid

    2. Really? I always assumed it was prepaid from the way they advertise the plans.

  6. WFM $39.88 is like getting Tmo Not-Secret $30 5GB Plan but adding $9.88 to get unlimited talk/text and unlimited throttled data after the 5GB

  7. The $30 plan is unlimited throttled after the 5gb too, I believe.
