Google Play Offers Free Download on Two Christmas Albums

Google-Play-Store-Christmas-Albums
Christmas is just a few days away and if you're still not feeling the holiday cheer, Google has something that will brighten up your spirits! You can now download a couple of Christmas albums for free from Google Play!

That's right! If you want to listen to some Christmas songs, you can check out the ever so popular songs sang by Mariah Carey on her 1994 album "Merry Christmas." The album contains the hit song "All I Want For Christmas Is You" along with other favorites "Silent Night", "O Holy Night", "Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)", "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town", "Joy To The World", and other titles.

Another album Google is giving away for free is Blake Shelton's "Cheers, it's Christmas" album released in 2012. The album features 14 country Christmas songs including Blake's duet with ex-wife Miranda Lambert, "Jingle Bell Rock"; "Winter Wonderland", "Silver Bells", "The Very Best Time Of The Year", "Winter Wonderland", "Home" (with Michael Bublé), and many more.

These albums are available for free from the Google Play Store for a limited time period so don't forget to check them out.

    1. They changed that recently. I purchased a $0 book from Google play store on my kids Google account (which has never had a credit card attached) this week. I was surprised it worked. I haven't tried music but I can't imagine it works differently.

    2. It's easy to get free albums without a credit card. I added a $10 Google Play card on my account a few years ago to buy some useful apps. I have been "buying" free songs and books ever since. One of the great things about the gift card is they can't charge too much. Another is picking a zipcode where digital downloads are tax free. :)

    4. Just 'cause you're it doesn't mean the bad guys aren't out to get you.
Use a prepaid credit card and you can get the free stuff.

  2. Prepaid VISA cards charge a fee. Google gift cards don't. I can buy either equally easily at Target, so the choice is clear, especially if you buy apps on the Play Store in addition to getting free songs and movies.

    1. Not true for all. My credit union's prepaid VISA does not charge fees. Google gift cards only work with Google, so they should be used only as a last-resort.
