Switch to AT&T GoPhone and Get Your Second Month Free

at&t-gophone-plan

For a limited time only, AT&T GoPhone is giving away a second month of service for free when you decide to switch your line. The new offer, starting on February 15, is only available to those who switch their number to AT&T GoPhone and activate and fund either a $45 or a $60 monthly plan.

Each monthly plan under GoPhone comes with unlimited talk, text and data usage, along with unlimited texting to over 100 countries. Selected plans come with the ability to call to and use a device in Mexico and Canada for no extra charge. And as a bonus, customers under the $45 and $60 monthly plans have the option to auto-refill their account, allowing them to save up to $5 per month.

Considering this offer runs under GoPhone, it requires no annual contract and no credit check. It also operates on AT&T's nationwide 4G LTE network so you can be sure coverage is mostly available. You can easily make the switch to GoPhone by bringing your own phone or opting to buy one of their LTE smartphones with prices from $39.99 to $99.99.

This current promotion offered by AT&T GoPhone is only available until March 31, 2016.

  1. if I'm correct about GoPhone having unthrottled high-speed data and then having unlimited slow speed 2g the auto pay option looks like a very competitive one for a single line compared to their own cricket version

  2. Methinks MetroPCS and T-Mobile are starting to scare the competition some.

    1. Define Scare? Some people like coverage with their data. Cheap data on Metro and T-Mobile comes with huge compromises.

    2. Cricket serves up fat buckets of slow data with poor CS to people who value their money more than their time. Compromises.

Yes, a compromise of being a bad network significantly worse than anything offered on the AT&T backbone, even if this bad network is a little better than Sprint.

If you say "slow data", what is the data too slow for? Not to slow to stream any audio, or Netflix or HBO Go. And the CS is now pretty good.

  3. At this point Cricket needs a new plan.

  4. Cricket needs to come up with $20-$25 plan for unlimited talk text with 1GB data...

    1. I don't run AT&T or know their business-plans for their different facets for the future. However, I have two Cricket plans (separate). If Cricket offered a "$20-$25 plan for unlimited talk text with 1GB data, I'd move one of the plans over to it easily (not much data use on it).

  5. Cricket will not come up with a cheaper data plan because they will lose single lines. We on the group plan already pay $20 for 2.5gb. Find a group of five and save.

    1. If you're not afraid to walk into an AT&T Wireless store, you can get one free.

  7. Does GoPhone still locks their SIMs to one phone? (One IMEI)

    1. I haven't heard complaints about that recently so maybe they stopped that practice. If you do get stock with a locked SIM AT&T will unlock it if you call support.

    1. Port a non-AT&T based number to GoPhone activate on the $45 or $60 plan and pay for the first month. AT&t will give you a $45 or $60 bill credit before start of the second month making it free.
