Univision Mobile Offers New Prepaid Service Plans to be Powered by Ultra Mobile

Since early this month, T-Mobile MVNO Ultra Mobile has been working hard to introduce new improvements to its Univision Mobile service; a joint venture between Univision Communications, T-Mobile US, and Spanish language TV network. Both Ultra and Univision have partnered up to provide unlimited international calling and global text to customers under Univision.

The change has lead to the accounts of Univision subscribers and their services to be managed by Ultra Mobile. Throughout the month, customers have been automatically moved without the need to change their SIM or phone numbers. Additionally, their existing plans have been given some extra features at no additional cost. Subscribers under the $30 plan and up have been given unlimited international calling to 40 destinations; which included Mexico. Those under the $35 and $45 plans have been given more 4G LTE data and less international credit on calling and voice roaming services.

New Univision Mobile plans have also been introduced to their prepaid service plans last February 11, 2016. Instead of offering four plans, Univision now offers these three options:

  • $20 Plan - includes unlimited talk, unlimited global text, 100MB of 4G data, unlimited international calling to 9 countries, $1.25 Call Anywhere credit and $1.25 international roaming allowance
  • $30 Plan - includes unlimited talk, unlimited global text, unlimited data with first 1GB at 3G speeds, unlimited international calling to 40 countries, $2.50 Call Anywhere credit and $2.50 international roaming allowance
  • $50 Plan - includes unlimited talk, unlimited global text, unlimited data with first 2GB at 4G LTE, unlimited international calling to 40 countries, $10.00 Call Anywhere credit and $10.00 international roaming allowance.

The roaming allowances are available when traveling to countries like Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Panama, El Salvador, Argentina, Guatemala, Venezuela, Columbia, Nicaragua, Spain, Peru, Honduras, and Ecuador.

  1. Giv mobile was giving 250MB for $20.. that was the best plan for me (since my usage was around 200MB as I have WIFI at home and work)..

  2. the $50 plan is gonna flop.Ultra though is successful because of its international calling not heaping helpings of data which it doesn't have or offer anyway. That could be why they are doing well , they qre avoiding the put you out of business data hog market. For data hogs i say Lyca, Metro or simple mobile.

    1. Unless you're some simple minded millennial or just ignorant, I believe most are only "data hogs" or high data users on wifi only. Otherwise you are a customer of data and know you what you want and sign up for an unlimited or high data plan accordingly.
