Boost Mobile Wants You to Switch and Save Up to 50%

boost-mobile-family-promotion
Earlier today, Sprint's Boost Mobile announced its latest promotion. As a way of getting more customers to convert from their competitors, they are offering a monthly savings of up to 50%. According to the release, the promotion is intended for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless customers who will port their numbers to a family plan under Boost Mobile.

Free Smartphones

For every line ported to Boost Mobile from any of the three networks, Boost will be providing a free phone (or a $50 instant device discount). Through this promotion, new customers have a chance to get up to four free smartphones with a new family plan activation.

The free smartphone promotion runs until April 19, 2016. The free phones available under this promotion include a choice between the Alcatel OneTouch Elevate, Motorola Moto E, LG Tribute, LG Tribute 2, or the ZTE Speed.

Free 10 GB of High-Speed Data

This is in addition to the free 10 GB of high-speed data per line that converts to Boost Mobile. Family plans start at $60 for two lines, $85 for three lines, and $110 for four lines. Each family plan is available with unlimited data, talk and text.

This promotion runs from March 3, 2016 until April 19, 2016.

  1. But boost doesn't have roaming, and boost cannot compete with Att and Verizon coverage. For example whenever i go to the library my boost phone have no coverage. Even ring plus have roaming.

    2. Not everyone needs the same coverage you do. Also, coverage depends on location. When I go to work, my Verizon line doesn't work but my Sprint (MVNO) and T-Mobile (MVNO) lines work.

    3. "...Not everyone needs the same coverage you do..."

Coverage matters for mobile phones. You can only dismiss it if you are landline user (or someone in a Boost storefront misrepresenting a bad network). Boost hardly counts as a national network, providing 0 bars in the vast majority of the country.

    4. "Coverage matters for mobile phones."

Yes it does but different coverage matters to different people. Some people may be happy with Boost Mobile because it has good coverage where they live. Some people may be happy with Koodo Mobile because it has good coverage where they live.

It's like cars. Some people want a fast car. Some people want a vehicle that seats eight people. However, if somebody has a short commute and usually drives alone, they don't need to spend $100,000.

  2. Actually Ring Plus has reneged on their Roaming capabilities, unless you had enabled it prior to Zipmark severing ties with them. Zipmark was used as some placebo verification tool and currently there is no way to enable roaming.

    1. 50 FREE minutes but at the moment there is no way to pay for more, only 50 FREE every month.

  3. Yes, a placebo is a good way to describe Zipmark verification because it didn't really do anything unless you believed it did.

  4. Boost isn't an MVNO, it's a Sprint owned prepaid brand.

  6. does it include tethering and if so, is there a cap?

    1. Boost allows tethering at no extra cost. The first 10 GB per month of data is at high speed with unlimited throttled data after the first 10 GB in a month.
