T-Mobile Cuts Price on LG G4 in Time for LG G5 Release

Now that the LG G5 has been announced to arrive to T-Mobile stores soon, the Uncarrier has decided to give its predecessor a price cut. If you've always shown an interest for the LG G4, now is the best time to do so.

For a limited time, T-Mobile is offering the LG G4 with a $50 price drop. Now, you can get the device for only $349.99. And if you get the G4 under T-Mobile's Equipment Installment Plan (EIP), you won't have to pay anything upfront but instead have 24 monthly payments of $14.59 each.

If you've already forgotten what the specs of the G4 are, it includes a 5.5-inch IPS Quantum QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 538ppi index. The phone is being powered by a hexa-core 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM and the Adreno 418 GPU. There's a 32GB built-in memory and a microSD card slot for up to 2TB expansion. On the back, there is a 16MP camera with 4K video recording; while the front has an 8MP secondary camera. The 3000 mAh battery is available to give the device up to 19 hours of talk time and 15 days in standby mode. T-Mobile has recently updated the G4 to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The colors available for the device include Metallic Gray, White, Gold, Leather Black, Leather Brown, Leather Red, and White/Gold.

As of this writing, only the Metallic Gray model of the LG G4 is being offered with the discount so it might be best to take this into consideration. But if you would like to save more money or opt for the leather version, T-Mo has also announced that they are offering Certified Pre-Owned LG G4 units for only $299.99 full retail or EIP of $0 down, $12.50 per month for 24 months.

It makes perfect sense for T-Mo to offer the LG G4 with a discount, especially since the LG G5 is coming real soon. Despite the newer model, the G4 still is a very capable device. And with the discount, you can save $50 on your new purchase.

W-W-W-W-Whhaaat??? Dennis, Christine, can anyone verify that UScellular sells "unlocked" phones.....I see the LG G4 is only $190.....but "unlocked for Verizon and T-Mobile"....??

    3. Not sure if you want to try that because US CELLULAR is CDMA-based...And although it utilizes a SIM for its 4G LTE, you may NOT get 3G ; and you'll probably never get the VOICE & MMS/SMS to work properly...

  3. "...the Uncarrier has decided to ..."

Looking forward to when they can drop the "Un" and become a real carrier. It remains honest advertising for now: T-Mobile, only half as good as Verizon and T-Mobile, can hardly call itself an actual carrier. The coverage map only covers a small part of the country, and a small handful of states well at all, unless you have a Band-12 phone which hardly any of them are.

Good luck, T-Mobile. But being slightly better than Sprint doesn't make for much bragging rights as long as your network is significantly worse than the real carriers that don't need an "Un" in front of them.
