  2. Does the Moto G4 basic also have an AMOLED display or is it just on the G4 Plus?

    1. The G4 and G4 Plus both have IPS screens. AMOLED was my error which has been corrected.

    2. I have the Moto G4 plus and it's an amazing phone! The pictures are crystal clear the battery last all day and I have the best of both worlds because my phone operates on GSM and CDMA. All I need is to replace my sim card and I can choose any carrier I want and it works overseas as well. At first I was buying many different model phones but this phone has stopped me from buying anything else because it has everything I need

What carrier are you using it with?

  3. The Alcatel Idol 3 does not have 4GB ram. This too, I throw in the trash

  4. correct me if I'm wrong but the idol 3 for instance has the needed T-Mobile LTE bands but won't do volte, hotspot, Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile where as an unlocked iPhone will?

    1. The Idol 3 has band 12 but doesn't support T-Mobile WiFi calling or VoLTE. Hotspot should work with the proper settings.

  5. How much faster are 2gig rams vs 4gig rams, noticeable?

    1. The less ram, the faster.

    2. No, its the other way around. More RAM, speeds up multitasking and UI transitions by keeping recently used activities in memory

  6. The Moto G4 Plus doesn't support band 17 for ATT?

    1. It supports band 12 which includes band 17. Band 12 phones can use AT&T's band 17.

    2. The iPhone 6 plus A1522 specs show that it doesn't support band 12 but supports band 17 so is it fair to say that it will support AT&T (except for band 30 of course) What other LTE bands from other companies will it also support based on the specs below?

      ◾ Model A1549 (CDMA)*/ Model A1522 (CDMA)* ◦CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz)
      ◦UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz)
      ◦GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
      ◦LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29)

    3. The iPhone 6 Plus supports:
      T-Mobile LTE bands 2 and 4
      AT&T LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 17 and 29
      Verizon LTE bands 2, 4 and 13

    4. what about Sprint? will the A1522 unlocked support any Sprint/MVNO's?

  7. Does the One Plus work with Verizon?

    1. No, of the phones in this sale, the Moto G4 Plus is the only one that supports Verizon.

    2. Is the OnePlus Two one of those that was so bad that the company was ashamed to sell it, and they used a fishy membership scheme? Or is that only the OnePlus One where they did that.

      Delete
    3. That was the OnePlus One. It wasn't that OnePlus was ashamed of the phone, it was a marketing strategy to generate free publicity. Availability was artificially restricted and every time there was an opportunity to buy the phone the tech press covered it.

  8. HAHAHAno.

Amazon needs to knock off a couple hundred more dollars if they really want me to upgrade.

My $50 Cricket Idol 3 may have experienced a few hiccups, but it's back to running like a cost-effective dream.

With that being the case, nothing short of a truly euphoric deal will get me to dig some shekels out of my Cheeto-dusted trilby.

That, and Cricket will probably offer the 4GB Moto (or a comparable device) for $100 next year.

I'll just keep the extra $150 and use it for a 6GB phone instead.

At that point I'll be set until at least 2020, all because I didn't blow $250 right now on an overpriced novelty slab.

  9. which phone here able to be used interchangably with verizon and with att?

    1. Only the Moto G4 Plus. The basic G4 also supports all 4 national networks.

    2. The G4 Plus.

      Verizon uses bands 2/4/13.

      AT&T and T-mobile use 2/4/5/12.

      Sprint uses 25/26/41.

  10. I thought that ATT's main band was band 17.

  11. Band 12 was removed from the Idol3 earlier this year (I have an Idol 3).

    ReplyDelete
  12. so if you have band 17 you have band 12 and more?
but full lte speeds will still be had with band 12?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Other way around.

    2. Band 12 is blocks 700a, 700b, 700c
      Band 17 is blocks 700b, 700c

If you have band 12 you can use band 17 on AT&T
If you have band 17 you can not use band 12 because you are missing block 700a which is required.

      AT&T's spectrum is mostly 700b and 700c
      T-Mobile's spectrum is mostly 700a.
