h2o Wireless Offers Double Data on New Activations on $30 Monthly Unlimited Plan

h2o-wireless-2x-data
Back in July, h2o Wireless improved its monthly plans by offering data upgrades. It looks like the AT&T MVNO is back with a new offer. Earlier today, h2o announced that they will be doubling the data on its $30 Monthly Unlimited Plan. The announcement takes effect today and will be available for new activations or those who port in a number from another carrier.

With the new offer, the data available on the $30 Monthly Unlimited Plan becomes 1GB instead of the 500MB high speed data allotted in the plan. The offer is also available for the first 3 months of service. New activations that get an initial recharge from September 1st and November 30th will also be treated to an extra 500MB of high speed data. The succeeding 2nd and 3rd $30 recharges will also be entitled to promotional data as long as the line stays active until February 28, 2017.

Thanks to this new offer, the $30 Monthly Unlimited Plan now comes with the following:
  • Unlimited domestic talk/text
  • International talk/text to over 50 countries
  • 1GB of high speed data
  • MobiletoMobile
In addition to this, any unused data gets automatically rolled over to the next month thanks to h2o Wireless' Rollover Data feature. This means you can easily accumulate up to 5GBs of 4G LTE data with your unused data.

For more information about this $30 Monthly Unlimited Plan, make sure to visit h2o Wireless' website.

  1. Still not competitive enough. Try 2GB for $30/month, and then we'll talk.

    1. I agree, I use to have them but left because (aside from the HORRIBLE customer service) they got stingy with their data.

    2. I'd say they are competitive for AT&T MVNO 1GB of data for $27. Puretalk is the only other AT&T mvno that gives 1GB of data for $30. Airvoices $30 is gimped at 500mb high and 500mb 2g.

  2. which att mvno is 2 gb at $30?

    1. Boom does on even better Verizon network. No rollover & hardcapped though.

For $5 extra (34.99) they give you unlimited throttled data@ 128kbps

    3. The above post was supposed to read "....hardcapped..."
The beauty of autocorrect. I apologize.

    4. Still no answer to the first question because there is none. That guy going on about 2GB for $30 on AT&T is trying to bait you guys.

  3. Is this a permanent data increase to the $30 plan or just a temporary promo?

Do all of H2O's plans have rollover data?

    1. The website says that the extra 500mb is only for the first 3 months, but it does accumulate.

  4. I don't think the h2o $30 plan includes unlimited throttled data after the first 1GB is used. It is hard capped, isn't it?

  5. Airvoice wireless has 1 gig with $30, always, but the rollover, I don't think that AVW has it.

    1. With Airvoice you dont even get 1GB. Remember they cap the second half of your data so in reality it's only 500MB. On the other hand, PureTalk USA gives you 1GB unthrottled for $29.

  6. Less competitive than Verizon MVNOs?

Forget the trash, they're going straight into the dumpster.

    1. You must be the person with all the dumpster comments. Lame

    2. Oh, my bad.

I didn't know the dumpster was already occupied.

I'll just find another one to toss 'em in.

  7. This isn't much of a promotion. Wasn't there also a post last week about a carrier offering 50% off for ONE MONTH? They both seem barely worth mentioning.

    1. I tried TPO for a month at 50% off but even at 12.50 plus taxes and no roaming, it didn't work that good for me. I'm back with Verizon Prepaid paying way more but I least I don't have to wonder if my phone is going to work. H2o has better coverage though but I would only try for half off.

  8. Cricket will have a new $30 plan on 9/9 with 1gb data.
MMS works on iPhone unlike h2O

    1. I used to comment every time when they ask for feedback - to have $30/$25 with autopay with Unl T&T, 1GB data.. seems like they listened finally!?!

    2. Is Cricket coverage the same as H2O? AT&T native only? My friend has cricket and everyone makes fun of the name as its display on her screen. I wouldn't mind showing cricket on my phone just because everyone knows it's a budget brand. I don't care about the stigma but I would like more than AT&T native coverage.

    3. @Mary H...
Cricket & H2O are both AT&T native only. Neither offers roaming coverage, not even for voice or text only.

  9. Cricket is owned by att. It has the same coverage but lte max speed is limited to 8mb. Good enough for streaming just about anything. I recommend them. Their phones are pretty good and affordable. I use the Alcatel idol 3 and it is great. Check it out.

    1. I thought Cricket offered only native coverage, not roaming. I've gotten two different answers here so I don't know who is right and who isn't.

    2. Cricket uses native AT&T coverage only. There's no roaming.

    1. Are att mvnos throttled to 8/4 mbps and data run through a proxy like cricket or is it like postpaid att?

      Delete
    2. I don't know of any AT&T MVNOs that throttle their high-speed data like Cricket does.

Technically all cellular data connections pass through one of more proxy servers. As far as I know, AT&T MVNOs do not use the same proxy servers as Cricket.

  11. Cricket just up the ante. Starting 9/9 $30 plan with 1gb data. Mms works on iPhone unlike h2o

    1. will that also include a $5 discount like with other plans or will it be like the $25 plan that didn't qualify for autopay dioscunts.

  12. I got a test message from H2O:
"Upgrades coming soon to your $30 plan! Effective October 5th, new recharges receive 1GB LTE Data!"
