MetroPCS Giving Away Two Phones for Free Plus New Line Offer

metropcs-two-new-offers
Recently, T-Mobile owned MetroPCS launched two new offers that they hope their customers will enjoy. The offers include the following:

Two Lines for $60

Metro is offering two lines for only $60. Each line already includes 6GB of 4G LTE data. While this offer is only available for a limited time, it is also available in-store only. Metro also requires at least one number to be ported in from another carrier.

Two Free Phones

The second offer MetroPCS has is that they are giving two free phones after instant rebate. The catch is that the first free phone will be available once you switch a number to MetroPCS. Once you switch and add a line, a second device will be given to you for free. You may choose from the following devices:
  • Alcatel Fierce 4
  • Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
  • Alcatel Tru
  • HTC Desire 530
  • LG K10
  • LG K7
  • Samsung Galaxy On5
  • ZTE Avid Plus

  1. Nothing special, they had that promotion once before. The $25/5G and $30/8G promotions were better. #teamprepaid

  2. which of these phones would you recommend for kids in this offer? I have the secret 30 dollar plan anyway and this would give them more talk time for the same price.

    1. I've never used any of those phones. Based on specs the LG K10, Desire 530, Fierce 4 and Fierce XL look the best. All have 16 GB of internal memory, Snapdragon 210, 8 MP cameras and 720x1280 screens. The LG K10 is the only one with a removable battery. The Fierce 4 and Fierce XL (an older version on the Fierce 4 running Lollipop instead of Marshmallow) have 2 GB RAM, the K10 and Desire 1.5 GB. The Desire is the only one with international 3G and LTE bands, You can compare their specs on Phone Scoop.

    1. "I wonder Cricket VS Metro PCS VS Boost family plan."

Cricket has a distinctly better network than MetroPCS, and is twice as good as Sprint. So, half the time a Boost phone will give no signal compared to a Cricket phone.

The carriers on bad-networks need to charge a lot less to keep up with the ones on good networks.

    2. What's a "bad-network" ?

    3. A so-called "national" mobile network which provides 0 bars of service to much...if not most.. of the nation.

T-Mobile is getting better, but Sprint, even in this day and age well into the 20th century, is extremely threadbare and provides good service in only 1/5th of the 50 states.

  4. Many stores won't give you both offers.

    2. I use phones like this as chromecast remote's for TVs. They never see the network they were sold for.

    3. I am another who uses a couple low spec phones as media controllers. I recently picked up 2 of the $9.99 Alcatel Ideal 6040a from Best Buy on Black Friday. Bought unlock codes for $0.99 on eBay. Installed FreedomPop SIMs. They reside in autos as emergency devices. Less than $12 initial cost, $0 per month, AT&T and T-Mobile data networks. 911 over any available provider.

The party is over. They were out of stock several xs and now they are back in stock but also $199. Seems kind of crooked to me

  7. We got this $60 Metro 2 phones late Jun2016. We got $50 off each of 2 LG Stylo2 Plus phones with the 5.7" screen and octo core CPU 2GB RAM. THey work great. Camera is just Good not great but the 6GB of FAST download speed and speedy phone multitasking is superb.
$60 each month for 2 lines period no added fees or taxes. And it is easy to use an identity on these comments here..just saying...
