Simple Mobile prepaid customers have a reason to celebrate this holiday season. Earlier today, the TracFone owned MVNO operating under T-Mobile announced a new promotion they will be offering to prepaid customers who activate service before December 31, 2016. The promotion announced aims to double data on Simple Mobile's $40, $50, and $55 plans.

With the ongoing promotion, the plans offered now include:
  • $40 plan - Originally: 4GB of data. Now: 8GB of high speed data for the first month of service. ($37.50 with auto pay)
  • $50 plan - Originally: 5GB of data. Now: 10GB of high speed data for the first month of service ($47 with auto pay)
  • $55 plan - Originally: 10GB of data. Now: 20GB of high speed data for the first month of service ($50 with auto pay)
Apart from data, the plans include unlimited talk and text. Once the high speed data allotment has been consumed, the speed is throttled to 64Kbps. They also come with roaming in Mexico at no extra charge.

Simple Mobile also offers $25 unlimited talk and text plan and a $60 plan that comes with unlimited talk, text and unlimited 4G LTE data. These two plans however don't include roaming to Mexico and auto pay discount. Along with the three plans, all of these include unlimited international calling to mobile phones in 20 countries as well as unlimited international calling to landlines in 65 countries.

Simple Mobile's offer is only available for new lines of service and will be good for the first month of service. If you are interested to learn more, visit Simple Mobile's website.

  1. Just for one month, what kind of scam are these MVNOs running thinking a few months extra data will bring in customers.

    1. Only in the amazing world of entitlement is month of a lot of free extra data called a "scam".

Alright, 6:14 Anon.. admit it. You think everything should be handed to you for free, right ?

    2. Pull the GV route and get one month of super cheap data, and then get a different plan.

If someone gives you a gift, don't say "only this much" take what they give you and move on

    3. Customers are supposed to be entitled, that's how it works and that's how you get more value. They might as well include a free cheese pizza instead of the extra data because that's useful. What exactly do you think you'll do with a few extra gigs for ONE month?

      Think before posting.

  2. Nice, but only 1 month only? Also having to deal with Slim shady's crew makes it Meh. Had it been permanent, I would have jumped on the 40 plan for 8gb. Even with tracfone.

    2. Just port to Google Voice once, route to whatever phone # and device(s) you have at the time. Use the GV app make calls look like they're coming from your GV#. No worries about your MVNO going under and potentially taking your # with them. Use Hangouts Dialer to make/take calls over WiFi from whatever device you're in front of at any given moment.

Do this and use a device compatible with all carriers (such as the Moto G4 series, Nexus, Pixel, and others) and you can switch MVNOs on a monthly basis (depending upon who's giving the best deal at any given time) and nobody would be the wiser thanks to GV.
