Sprint Hosts Sweepstakes for Pokemon Go Players

Earlier this month, it was announced that Sprint was partnering with Niantic as the exclusive wireless partner of their hit game, Pokémon Go. Now that the cat is out of the bag, Pokémon Go players can make the most out of their gaming experience with 10,500 Sprint and RadioShack Sprint and Boost Mobile locations throughout the country. In line with the partnership, Sprint has announced a new sweepstakes where players can have a shot at winning exciting prizes.

As mentioned, players who visit select Sprint and RadioShack Boost Mobile and Sprint locations will be able to do the following:
  • Collect in-game items to help advance in the game (Poké Balls and Eggs)
  • Battle against other Pokémon at Sprint-sponsored Gyms
  • Recharge your phone
But that's not all that you can do at these locations.

Starting today, Pokémon Go Trainers who enter a Sprint or Boost Mobile store will get a chance to win different prizes such as an LED Flat Screen TV, virtual reality headset, and Amazon gift cards. To join in the sweepstakes, you simply need to do the following:

  • Visit a nearby Sprint or Boost PokéStop or Gym
  • Take a selfie inside the store
  • Post your picture on Twitter and don't forget to use the right hashtags: #SprintPokeStop #Sweepstakes (if you're in a Sprint store) or #BoostPokeStop #Sweepstakes (if you're in a Boost Mobile store)
  • The photo must be posted before Jan. 8, 2017 at 11:59 pm E.T.
According to Sprint, the winners will be announced on Jan. 11, 2017. They will also be notifying the winners if they've won.

  1. Great. Just what we need is more millennials taking selfies and playing silly games in public.
