T-Mobile has recently released a new offer for its prepaid customers. If you've been meaning to get a new device to use this year, here's an offer that will allow you to save some money. T-Mobile is currently offering the Samsung Galaxy On5 for free along with a SIM starter kit. All you need to do is purchase a $100 prepaid refill card and you'll already be entitled to get the free device.

The Galaxy On5 has a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720p. It runs on a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Exynos processor with 1.5 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 8GB. There is a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Camera-wise, the phone has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel camera in front. It includes a 2,600 mAh battery and runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box.

Currently, the phone is on back order and is expected to start shipping once again between February 5-21, 2017. To compare with this offer from T-Mobile, Best Buy is selling the device for only $49.99; whereas Walmart offers it for $119.

Update 14-jan-2017:  Free phone offer has ended. The Galaxy On5 is now $149.99 bundled with a $50 airtime card.

  1. Has anyone heard that T-Mobile postpaid no longer charges taxes or fees? All you pay is the plan price.

    1. I'm sure many people have, it was all over the web last week when it was announced.

It starts Jan 22 and you have to switch to a new version of the T-Mobile One plan and enroll in autopay to get it. The plan includes unlimited talk and text and unlimited data (video and hotspot are throttled). It cost $70/month for the first line, $50 for the second and $20 for the 3rd and up. Add $15/line if you want HD video or $25/line if you want HD video and unthrottled hotspot.

It's a pretty a good deal you need everything it offers.
