    1. Verizon prepaid still has the $45 plan? I thought they got rid of it

    2. Yes. But you have to go through checkout to pick that plan. The $45 and $60 plans are available. Not sure for how long.

  3. Also have the $30 UT&T (wi-fi only) Plan. The $45 plan has never gone anywhere. the $15 Plan is still available, just gotta call to get it.

    1. The $45 plan is still available when activating a new line. The $30 plan is not available when activating a smartphone although it may be possible to get it by calling.
AFAIK, the $15 plan was always for feature phones only.

  4. RANSOM? When can I take it to a Verizon MVNO?

    1. So, basically, if I pay for two months service I can then take it to a VZ network MVNO?

  7. This is NOT an instant credit. Verizon Prepaid is offering the Samsung Galaxy J3 V (SMJ320VZKA) AT $19.99 with Port-In BIC (Bill On Credit). Customers who port-in in to a Prepaid Plan AND Choose J3 V (SMJ320VZKA) will receive $148.01 BIC off retail: $168.00

    1. So you're saying the customer pays the full $168 up front and gets a $148 bill credit that they can use to cover the first two or three months?

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy J3 V Prepaid | Verizon Wireless web page says "Switch over to Verizon and get a Samsung Galaxy J3V for $19.99. Must transfer your phone to Verizon and activate on a prepaid plan to qualify. Instant savings applied at checkout.

They sure make it sound like an instant rebate. Sneaky if it's not.

    3. This device is being offered as a prepaid phone it is not a 4G Phone-in-the-Box Prepaid phone sold through mass retailers. I am thinking this device does not have any Ransom tied to it. Therefore the BIC (Bill On Credit approach by Verizon.

    4. What exactly is a "BIC". Is it a credit to the customers account that can be used to pay for airtime?

    5. Bill On Credit according to Wiki. Has to be a Bill credit that aldo so seems to me seems can only be used for airtime.

    6. bill of credit (BIC) - 1. Written request by a party (an account holder or merchant) to another (a bank or merchant) to give the bearer a specified sum (or amount of goods), either from the funds of the first party held by the second party or from the credit advanced by the second party.

  8. 19.99
    45.00
    75.00
    --------
    135.99 + taxes

    Hmmmm... I will pass.

  9. You're better off going to Walmart and picking up a Moto G4 for $69.00. Better phone plus 2 extra GB of data with their Verizon plans. No hidden costs or having to pay more up front for a credit. That is, if you want to put up with Verizon and their egos and pricing.

    1. Is that a G4 or G4 play for $69?

Not sure the play is a better phone but I tend to agree with you, both g4 are a popular & known quantity and with a $2 eBay unlock can be activated on a VZ network mvno, sidestepping ransom & other VZW games.

    2. The $69 Moto is the G Play which is Verizon Prepaid's version of the G4 Play.
