Real Mobile Increases Data on AT&T Network Plans

Real Mobile Logo
AT&T and Sprint MVNO Real Mobile has increased the amount of high speed data included with its AT&T based monthly plans. Here's what changed:

  • The $30 unlimited voice and messaging plan's data allotment has been increased from 500 MB to 1 GB (hard capped)
  • The $40 unlimited voice, messaging and data plan's high speed data has been increased from 1 GB to 2 GB (unlimited 2G after 2 GB)
  • The $50 unlimited voice, messaging and data plan's high speed data has been increased from 2 GB to 5 GB (unlimited 2G after 5 GB)
  • The $60 unlimited voice, messaging and data plan's high speed data has been increased from 2 GB to 5 GB (unlimited 2G after 2 GB). This plan includes a $20 international calling credit

Additional data can be added to any of these plans at $10 for 500 MB. Outgoing international texts are 15¢ each.

These changes make Real competitive with other AT&T MVNO's regular, non-promotional rates. Sure, Straight Talk is $5 cheaper for 5 GB and nobody can beat H2O's current bonus data promotion. But H2O's promotion is due to end March 31 and when it does the bonus data is expected to go away for rather than being grandfathered. With Real you are supporting a small US based business instead of a huge multinational corporation. Real customer support is US based and has a reputation of being more helpful and competent than support from H2O or Straight Talk. Support is available in English and Spanish from 9 AM to 9 PM ET 7 days a week.

There are no changes to Real's AT&T based pay as you go plan with rollover which has a minimum top up of $20 every 30 days and rates of 5¢ per minute text or MB of data.

See our AT&T and AT&T MVNO Prepaid Plans Compared post for tables comparing Real with other AT&T based prepaid providers.

  1. $30 unlimited minutes, text, and a mere 1 GB of LTE data isn't even competitive these days.

    1. Is there a better deal on the AT&T network that you know of?

  2. People may underrate customer service, but when the customer service personel thinks you said "No" when you said "Yes", or vice versa, it gets on your nerves so much that you are then willing to go back to smoke signaling than deal with customer service.

Has the smoke signal ever said that they will not send a signal? No! Has it ever sent something instead of what you asked it to? No!

People can take a big lesson from the smoke signal's book. Infact, take the entire book!

  5. Please! Anyone looking for a deal on AT&T is just going to jump on the FreedomPop gravy train. Others will join a Cricket group plan for $20/mo.

    1. On the AT&T network, no. On the Sprint network, yes.

  8. The CS a bit overrated. I have talked twice with them in the last 2-3 years.
    1. Porting the number to H2O
    2. switch to nanosim from microsim.
    Both talks were smooth.

  9. "...nobody can't beat H2O's current bonus data promotion."

    So EVERYBODY beats their promo?!?

Double-negatives: they're inverting meanings everywhere you don't not want to be.

  10. I just switched to h2o because of the grandfathering in?! What are the plans if they go back?

    1. H2O's regular at data allotments on their unlimited T&T plans plans are:
      $30 1 GB
      $40 3 GB
      $50 5 GB
      $60 6 GB
H2O isn't saying what happens when the promo ends 3/31. The promos might be extended or the regular data allotments might increase or neither could happen.

    1. Correct. The only way to make MMS work on AT&T MVNOs, like H2O, that aren't Apple partners is to jailbreak and use a Cydia APN Changer app to set the correct MMSC.
