  3. Where is $30 Secret Plan??? Bring it back!!

  4. What is the cheapest plan that the MLB deal will work with?

    1. I believe the cheapest current plan that supports T-Mobile Tuesdays is the $45 Simply Prepaid Plan. It doesn't work with the $3 plan.

  5. Blue, Pink and Yellow are really pouring on the coal to compete with unlimited Red. Still, I believe many birdies will fly back. Not me, I use Blue for coverage, Pink for speed, and Yellow for unlimited low quality data. Consequently, I have severed all of my cords.

    1. I do have to agree with you that the low quality of Sprint is without limit.

    2. Pink may no longer have the edge in speed: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-mobile-network,review-2942.html

Virgin's speeds beating Sprint's is interesting.

  6. I'm sure football, soccer and hockey fans will love these exclusively baseball offers.

Way to appeal to a broad base, using the chance to watch more of the second most mind-numbing sport after golf.

    1. They have an existing sponsorship with MLB, so it was probably easier to get this than it would be to get something with the other leagues. The NFL is no go because of their partnership with Verizon. You can't even watch MNF games on your phone through the ESPN app.

  7. I was looking at some prepaid options for a new line and T-Mobile has become so uncompetitive. Dennis, do you have something up for carriers with the best international roaming options?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Most US prepaid operators don't offer international roaming or if they do it's very expensive.

The only ones I know of with relatively reasonable international roaming are Project Fi,FreedomPop's Global SIM, Ultra Mobile, Truphone and Ting. Cricket and MetroPCS are good for Canada and Mexico only.

    2. Thank you Dennis, I'll check these out. I believe AT&T GoPhone also offers NA roaming for free (at least on the $45 plan) and T-Mobile offers it for $5 on their $45 plan.

    3. We have Ting GSM, Truphone and FreedomPop Global SIM and they all work fine in the UK and Canada.

    4. Are you sure FreedomPop GSM works in Canada. It would be gret if it did but Canada is not listed by FreedomPop as an included country for the global SIM. In addition, I've seen multiple reports by users who tried using a FP Global SIM in Canada that it did not work.
