LG Phoenix 3 is a Budget Smartphone Coming to AT&T GoPhone

LG-Phoenix-3
AT&T GoPhone will soon welcome a new Android smartphone model. Called the LG Phoenix 3, the device comes as the successor of the Phoenix 2.

The Phoenix 3 will include a 5-inch FWVGA display with an 854x480 resolution. The device will be powered by a quad-core processor with 16GB of built-in storage capacity and a 2,500 mAh battery. Upon release, the device will operate on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Compared to its predecessor, the Phoenix 3 will be equipped with 5-megapixel front and rear-facing cameras. The Phoenix 2, meanwhile, had an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front sensor. This seems to be a downgrade for the Phoenix 3. But you do have to factor in the fact that it is a low-cost Android device with a price of $79.99. If you're looking for an affordable yet new smartphone model, the Phoenix 3 is worth checking out.

The Phoenix 3 is set to arrive to GoPhone's lineup on March 10.

    1. Agreed. Just boring. Unless it's $20.

  2. Some users may want to go ahead and get the ATT GoPhone Certified Restored LG Phoenix 2 online for $49.99 while supplies last.

    1. Got tired of the echo chamber and comment deletions, but I still threw in my two cents.

After all, that's what this phone will be worth once they halve the price and throw in $45 worth of airtime.

  4. Brutal grammar/sentence structure...again.

  5. Specs are very poor compared to Phoenix 2. How this can be called as successor?.

Very funny with LGs logic, even if phone is FREE.

  6. Still snickering over the "$430 only" title. Nonetheless, this is a great and timely source of news I enjoy.

What's your problem with that? Didn't you read the article at all?! It was an article stating the phone was ONLY $430 instead of its original $680 price tag. You can just stop reading PPN since you're so perfect!

It's like a never-ending skit from "Life of Brian" where poor Brian writes 'Romanes eunt domus' instead of 'Romani ite domum' (Romans go home!)
And then Mr. "$430 only" guy is the Roman Centurion (John Cleese) "What's this then?" he says. "Romanes eunt domus? 'People called Romanes they go the house'?!"

But in the end, Brian (Christine) is forced to remember the correct conjugation by writing it 100 times all over every surface of the plaza walls & becomes a hero.

  7. RAM is an even more important spec than storage (anything less than 1.5GB makes the phone too slow, IMHO), yet there's no mention of it.

  8. Wow...updated downgrade. Grabbed a couple Phoenix 2's new from Best Buy on Black Friday for 29.99 for back-up devices. Glad I did. No need for the 3.

  9. They should have upsized the battery to 3000ma

  10. The Phoenix 2 is a garbage phone with only capable of handling a 32GB memory SDHC memory card at max. Even the $10 Alcatel Ideal can handle a 128GB memory card. With even lower specs than the Phoenix 3 my guess is this phone will be even bigger trash...

    1. I have Alcatel Ideal. Painful to use. Teenager uses Phoenix 2 everyday, much more usable. 1.5 GB RAM definitely helps.

Throwing the BS flag on the Phoenix 2 32GB limit. Been confirmed to work with a 128GB card. Have you actually tried one? You can't go by specs or manuals with microSD card max limit.

  11. Naming a phone after a bird that bursts into flames.... I think Samsung should have used the Phoenix name instead.
