Virgin Mobile's $60/month Data Love Unlimited Plan Does Not Include HD Streaming

A few days ago, we wrote about Virgin Mobile unleashing a new $60/month plan called Data Love Unlimited. A Virgin Mobile representative reached out to us to apologize for the wrong graphic placed on their website with a wrong footnote. The contact expressed that they were already replacing the graphic on their website as soon as possible.

So what does this mean for Virgin Mobile users interested in the new Data Love Unlimited plan? Unfortunately, HD streaming is NOT available on the $60 plan. HD streaming includes 1080p video streaming, 1.5 Mbps audio streaming and 8 Mbps gaming data, which is not part of the Data Love Unlimited plan.

With the new $60 Data Love Unlimited plan, you get the following:
  • Unlimited 4G LTE
  • Unlimited Talk and Text
  • Unlimited Mobile-Optimized Streaming Videos, Gaming and Music

For more information, visit Virgin Mobile website.

Thanks, Justin!

  1. Publicity stunt gone wrong, ala Sprint. Their master plan at fails rolls on.

  2. Why would I pay more per month for Virgin Mobile when Boost offers the same plan at a $50.00 price point. Sprint is hopeless.

And you can get much better alternatives from AT&T or T-Mobile (prepaid) for a similar price point.

      Why. oh why?

  3. Dennis... is cricket the only prepay company that limits speeds? for example they limit you to 8 on their lte even though it's capable of more

  5. PPN should stop featuring articles about Sprint, at least until their coverage and speeds are comparable to the Big 3.

    1. The bot is back. Post 'Sprint' and we all get spammed.

    2. There's no "Big 3" yet. T-Mobile still has a ways to go.

Coverage and customer-wise, though T-Mobile has improved, it is still closer to Sprint than to AT&T/VRZ.

I agee Sprint and its prepaid subsidiaries are poorly managed but their limited coverage and slow speeds work for some people. I appreciate Dennis covering ALL carriers. Its a lot of work and Dennis deserves our gratitude and respect.

  7. The Sprint news is always good for a laugh.

The company is like a parody of an actual carrier written for an SNL sketch.

    Keep it coming, Dennis!

  8. The graphic on the previous story said "optimized" at the bottom, I knew something was up at that time. Sprint is confused all over the place. They should put Boost at Walmart and Virgin at Target, make them exclusives and be done with it. Overlap for the same service with different pricing is just rediculous.

    1. They should instead put them both at K-Mart, so they can sink with that ship.

  9. I seen the face of Richard Branson on their advertising. Branson is cool. Virgin Galactic and Tubular Bells all the way! This makes Virgin Mobile worth it, no matter what the price.

    1. Richard Branson sold Virgin Mobile to Sprint ten years ago, he has nothing to do with it in the United States anymore. Cool factor has been gone ever since.

  10. So this is thrir "disruptor" brand idea? You want disruotor, simply repeat the original Beyond Talk plans with 4g lte added. There's your disruption.
