Earlier today, T-Mobile announced that they have added a new smartphone to their lineup. With its announcement, the much awaited LG Stylo 3 Plus phablet is already available through the carrier for a price of $225. The device is also coming to the carrier's MetroPCS prepaid brand in June.

The LG Stylo 3 Plus comes as a successor to the LG Stylo 2 Plus released last year. Improving on its key features, the Stylo 3 Plus comes equipped with a 5.7-inch full HD display with a 1920x1080 resolution. Powering the phablet from within is a 1.4GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. The memory may be expanded through a microSD card by up to 2TB. Camera-wise, the Stylo 3 Plus sports a 13-megapixel main shooter with a 1080p video recorder and a 5-megapixel camera in front. The device also comes with a fingerprint reader and a stylus pen equipped with the new Pen Pop 2.0 features.

Upon unboxing, the device is said to be available with the latest Android 7 Nougat OS. On the back is a 3,080 mAh battery that gives the device up to 14 hours of talk time and up to 19 days in standby mode. As for its connectivity, the Stylo 3 Plus offers 4G LTE with VoLTE capability, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, and many more.

The LG Stylo 3 Plus sells for $225 on T-Mobile but may also be purchased through a $9 down and $9 per month for 24 months arrangement. JUMP! On Demand customers can get their hands on the phone for $0 down and $10 per month.

Since MetroPCS will also be carrying the device, it can be purchased along with one of the prepaid monthly plans offered by the brand. If you are interested in getting the Stylo 3 Plus under MetroPCS, you may opt for one of the plans compatible with it:

  • $30 plan - includes unlimited talk, text and 2GB of 4G LTE data
  • $40 plan - includes unlimited talk, text and 3GB of 4G LTE data
  • $50 plan - includes unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data with optimized video streaming of up to 480p quality
  • $60 plan - includes unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE un-throttled data with HD video streaming and 8GB mobile hotspot

All of the plans include optional optimized video streaming and Data Maximizer. Meanwhile, unlimited music streaming is only free on $40 plan and higher. The data for the $30, $40, and $60 plans may be used for hotspot.

Again, the Stylo 3 Plus is coming to MetroPCS stores next month.

  1. Looks great but I will make to with what I have until the 600mhz phones are available (in about a year ?)

  2. The pen on the wallpaper is deceiving. I watched the T-Mobile video about it on YouTube and it's not like that at all. Some may think so and not be happy.

  3. "2017"
    "$225"
    "2GB of RAM"

    That's an awfully expensive coaster.

    1. Specs are pretty similar to the Moto G4, except this has the stylus and a larger screen while the Moto has compatibility with ALL major US carriers for easy portability. The Moto is a more expensive (at that RAM level), but is considered a pretty good phone for the price. Think you're just being a snob.

  4. The moto g4 plus is the same price with way better network support (all of them), faster proc, better camera, 4g memory. Why release a crippled phone at that price level?
