    1. Speaking of which there was a massive cell and internet outage last night. The news sites were linking to outage maps for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.

I wondered why Sprint wasn't included? Then I realized, if Sprint had a major outage, no-one would be able to tell the difference.

  2. I don't understand the point of these 1-month promos. At least offer 6-12 months so I have a reason to stick around. A single month isn't worth the hassle of switching, especially when you need a sim and compatible phone. Heck, at this point Sprints 1-year free deal makes more sense than joining ANY Sprint MVNO.

The target of these promotions could be those on postpaid, yet have usage that would be more budget-friendly on Tello's regular pricing structure. (Versus those of us who follow PPN for example.) Similar to a 'loss-leader' promotion at a grocery store.

Their blog also mentions the promotion will be valid on all plans of $10/mo. or more. (Remember that Tello passes all federal/state/local taxes to the customer, and these are in addition to the advertised price.)

And, yes, I am a satisfied Tello customer, thanks in part to the coverage on this site. (I am in no way compensated for this comment; it is my own.)

    2. So basically, these terrible one-month promos are worthless to the readers of any blogs they're posted on.

"I am in no way compensated for this comment; it is my own."

      That denial is suspiciously specific.

  3. Makes sense to me.

  4. I really wish Tello had at least the option for voice roaming or a per minute rate, etc.
I don't really ever need to use my device on roaming, but having the option for a call if I needed to is almost mandatory for where I drive and use my service.

    Frustrating.
