Cricket Wireless Rumored to Offer New Multi-Line Promo Soon

cricket-wireless
There are some rumors going around that Cricket Wireless has plans to start a new promotion on July 21, Friday. According to the rumor mill, the carrier has plans to launch a promotion similar to the one recently offered by MetroPCS, where its customers could get 2 lines of unlimited LTE data for paying $80/month.

With Cricket Wireless planning to launch a similar promotion, this could mean that its multi-line account users have something to look forward to. As of this writing, the new unlimited LTE data plan rumored to be offered by the carrier is somewhat misleading. Despite its name, the plan does not actually offer true LTE data speeds since it limits speeds to 8 Mbps. And further to that, data speeds may be further reduced in times of network congestion if the customer has already consumed data of over 22GB in a month.

The plan comes with a price of $60/month for a single line. When auto pay is enabled, it goes down to $55. This already includes unlimited talk, text and global texting. Full service roaming is also included in Mexico and Canada.

Right now, there is no official word on any other plan changes and promotions Cricket Wireless has in line for its customers. We will have to wait until the carrier officially announces the promotion just a little before Friday.

    1. GoPhone has been renamed AT&T Prepaid. The unlimited plan is limited to 3 mbps, the high speed portion of the other plans is not speed limited.

If this is true, it will revolutionize the market.
I get it that 60 mbps is so great, but for a majority of people, 3 mbps or maybe even 1 mbps is really doable. Make it at $40 for 3 mbps and why would you pay $40 for 5 gigs with other carriers if you could get 22 gigs here?
    Game changer.
    Real game changer.
    Way to go Cricket.
    Way to go.

  14. It's about time that cricket follow after metroPCS they need to do that more often....now it really just matters who has better coverage in your area. The 3mbps data throttle will more common practice all the way across the board sooner that later....all these carriers follow each other...now MetroPCS will do something crazy like 2 lines for $50 unlimited data...then cricket will do 3 months later, etc...
