HTC Desire 555 Now Available at Cricket Wireless

Cricket Wireless has just welcomed a new device into its roster of devices-- the HTC Desire 555.

The Desire 555 comes with a 5-inch TFT HD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. There is an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 4x digital zoom and LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera available on the device. From within, the phone operates on a 1.1GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, and a microSD card for memory expansion. There is a 2,200 mAh Li-Ion battery included in the device. It unboxes with Android 7.0 Nougat.

Some of the new features included on the Desire 555 include the following:
  • HTC BoomSound - Provides good audio quality with a headset
  • HTC BlinkFeed - Provides you the latest status updates of your friends and news from your interests straight on your home screen
  • HTC Themes - HTC has an online theme store where you can choose from 25,000 designer themes all for free
The front-facing camera comes with an Auto Selfie or Voice Selfie feature that you can easily activate by setting the Live Makeup slider. Once you say "Cheese", the phone will capture your photo.

You can now get the HTC Desire 555 for $119.99 when you join or upgrade your Cricket Wireless account.

  1. Does the world really need another Snapdragon 210-powered phone for $119.99? HTC, you can do better than this! The HTC 500 Desire series used to have some thoughtful design cues and color combinations that made them interesting. Would it have killed you to put a Snapdragon 425 in it for a couple of bucks more? HTC must have made a quite a good deal with Qualcomm for those 210 chips. You'll probably be able to pick this phone up on Cyber Monday this year, at your local Dollar Store for $19.99.

  5. The blade spark is worth double this 555. HTC said it wasn't gonna make any more low end phones and it should stick to its plan cause this thing is the same rip off as all the other ones it made.
