People usually look forward to November for one reason: Black Friday Sale. This much awaited annual event happens for a few days where stores drop the prices of their commodities. Most of the time, people wait until this time of the year before they make a big purchase on a new phone or electronics.

But for Selectel Wireless, there is no reason to wait until November for a Black Friday sale. Instead, the Verizon MVNO has launched a 'Black Friday in July' sale happening for just two days.

According to its announcement, Selectel Wireless will be offering discounts on its phones starting today and tomorrow, Saturday. There is a wide variety of phone models to choose from, ranging from entry-level devices all the way up to the high-end models. To get a good look at the different phones that are currently on sale, here is a short list:
  • Apple iPhone 5 $199.99 $149.99
  • Apple iPhone 6 $299.99 $249.99
  • Apple iPhone 7 $699.99 $599.99
  • LG Vista $124.99 $79.99
  • Samsung Galaxy J3 Eclipse $199.99 $124.99
  • Samsung Galaxy S5 $199.99 $149.99
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 $274.99 $249.99
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 $374.99 $349.99
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 $749.99 $699.99 (Out of Stock)
  • Sony Xperia z3v $249.99 $199.99

In addition to having a Black Friday in July Sale, the MVNO has changed up the monthly plans it offers. The biggest change is that the $15 plan with 300 minutes, unlimited text and 50 MB of data no longer works with 4G devices. So if you're interested in buying one of the devices currently on sale, you can pair it up with the one of the MVNO's plans available.
Remember, the sale ends tomorrow so make sure you check out their website to know more about the discounted phones.

  1. I just checked Selectel website and it made me a little sad. I used to be with them back when they had text and voice roaming available for free. I notice now that their plans are behind what companies like Boom, Red Pocket and Rok offer, all under the Verizon network. I hope they survive this cutthroat dog eat dog industry.

    1. They still have text roaming for free. Voice roaming is $0.25/minute.
