Tello has just launched a new promo that will entice new people to make the switch to their service. Starting today, the Sprint-based MVNO is offering free data whenever you buy a plan.

Under this new promotion, you simply have to buy a phone plan worth $10 or more. You can even choose a plan with text or minutes only to be eligible to receive this free data offer.

After you buy the plan, you can choose the data option you wish to include and Tello will be giving it to you for free. You are free to choose data as low as 200MB or as much as 5GB and it will still be given to you for free.

If you've decided to take part in this promotion, simply use 1DATAMIX code upon checkout. The offer is available for a limited time only and for your first month of service with the MVNO.

  1. give it up MVNOs... heck your backbone, Sprint, is even having a hard time giving EVERYTHING away without much success, much less a crummy "data promo."

  2. I'm a Tello customer and think they're one of the best MVNOs around. Cheap prices and great customer service. And Hangouts works fine on their unlimited throttled data.

    1. Really. So I can get their 100min / 200meg plan for $7+tax, and just use hangouts, if I were to go over the 100min? How is 64kb for something like Reddit?

    3. After the RingPlus implosion, I moved several phones to Tello. Have been very pleased.

  3. What's the speed you get?

    1. Anywhere from sub 1 mbs to 100 mbps. Mobile data speeds vary widely depending location and network load. Tello speeds should be the same as other Sprint MVNOs at the same time and place.

  4. You can't give 5GB at 200kbps away for free.

Nobody wants Sprint service anymore, especially not with their impending buyout.

Tello should learn from RingPlus and expand their deals to a GSM network.

    1. Tello, is known for their paygo rates. GSM pay go rates are just more expensive than sprint paygo rates. Cheapest gsm rates I can find are 5 cents for talk and text. 5x the cost on text and 1.5x more on talk.

That's 200 kbps faster than what Sprint delivers in most of the US.
