Boost Mobile Unveils Limited Time $40 Unlimited Gigs Promotion

boost-mobile-unlimited-gigs-$40
A look at Boost Mobile's website will let you see some of the in store offers they are currently running with their dealers. So if you've ever wanted to get your hands on a prepaid phone under this Sprint prepaid brand, now is the best time to get one.

Here are the current in store offers available from Boost Mobile:

Free Phone for Everyone

Although this is not an entirely new offer, it's exciting to see that Boost Mobile is giving away a free phone, or up to $50 off, for new and existing customers who sign up for the prepaid service. The $50 off can be credited back after a mail-in-rebate.

Bring Your iPhone Pay 1 Month, Get 1 Free

This promotion is also something that has been offered for some time now. Under this promotion, you can get 1 free month of service when you pay 1 month of service. You'll also have to bring your iPhone to the network.

Unlimited Gigs $40

Lastly, the Unlimited Gigs $40 promotion is one that Boost Mobile has just recently added to its list of offers. The promotion, available for a limited time, gives you unlimited GB for only $40 instead of $50 when you buy an iPhone from them.

This promotion is valid until Sept. 7, 2017. It is available for new customers who activate a $40 plan in the Colorado, West Texas and Fort Wayne markets. Only select iPhone models are applicable to this promotion. Customers who consume over 23GB of data during a billing cycle will be deprioritized during network congestion.

Updated 8/24 to mention that the Unlimited Gigs $40 offer is only available in the Colorado, West Texas and Fort Wayne markets. This very limited availability has been confirmed by a Boost Mobile representative.

  1. Feel like Sprint has bought a huge lot of soon-to-be-legacy iPhones and is now trying to unload the inventory.

It was Virgin that gave one year free UDP when you bought an iphone, right?

    1. Yes, Virgin Mobile Inner Circle. It's $1 for the first year. It's still available through August 31.

  4. WTF is with Sprint's iPhone obsession lately? I know early on the belief was only cheapskates went with Android & Apple customers were far more profitable, but I think Samsung has pretty much put the final nail in that coffin with the high cost of the S8 not keeping it from being quite a success (along with any other phones approaching $1K such as the Pixels).

    1. Sprint probably has excess iPhone inventory.

    2. store owner here, No excess inventory at any of our stores, We are constantly sold out of iPhones and I only get about 10 per week per store to sell. Warehouse can't even keep up with our orders. With the preowned iPhone 6 only $99 for port in customers. These promotions are awesome for customers

    1. $40 Unlimited is a dealer-only promotion. Pricing and availability will vary by dealer.

  7. I'd buy in for a free S8 or 128GB iPhone 7 Plus (after an instant discount, not a shitty mail-in rebate), with a free year of service thrown in.

Otherwise, I wouldn't pay to get a trash phone locked to a trash carrier that probably won't be around in a year.

After all, the only reason RingPlus hit it big was the ability to buy then-decent phones for less than $100 and activate them on a free plan with extra data costing $8/GB.

Phones whose specs come straight out of 2015 just won't cut it, nor will pricing locked phones as if they weren't.

And nobody's gonna bother with Sprint's shoddy service without incredibly cheap plans and data, since the coverage of their native network is incredibly hit or miss.

Even Virgin's iPhone plan is a non starter, since you still have to pay full retail for the only iPhones whose 5+ inch screens are large enough for grown adults.

They really dug themselves into a hole, and the only way to get out is to just keep on digging.

Without customer acquisition and retention, as well as the word of mouth advertising it brings, Sprint's days are pretty much numbered

Happy customers are loyal customers, and this deal isn't nearly enough to make customers on other networks' MVNOs happy.

  8. Not many boost mobile dealers are exclusive boost mobile as they were a few years ago. They now sell simple mobile, lyca, ultra, unlocked phones and their prices for boost mobile phones are above list prices. The boost mobile dealers that still are exclusive to boost mobile will follow the promotions sonsearch for those dealers

    1. Actually corporate is getting rid of all multi carrier stores, They only want boost exclusive and they only want 4.0 stores going forward. So the customer experience will be better.

  10. colorado and west texas and fort wayne are the only available test markets for this plan. Store owner here and reps explained the test markets.

But everyone who is thinking about this plan might as well take advantage of buy one get one free promo that expires on september 7th. Better deal makes cell service unlimited for only $25 a month
