Lycamobile Increases Data on $35 Plan to 6 GB, Discontinues $39, $49 and $59 Plans

Lycamobile $35 Plan Now Has 6 GB
T-Mobile MVNO Lycamobile has increased the data included with its $35 plan from 5 GB to 6 GB. The plan also includes unlimited domestic voice and messaging, unlimited international messaging and unlimited international calls to landlines in 60 countries and mobiles in 23. After the first 6 GB of data is used, unlimited data at 128 kbps is available for the rest of the plan month.

Lycamobile has also discontinued three plans. The discontinued plans were ones that included relatively small data allotments combined with larger international international calling credits and/or unlimited calls to more counties. These are the details of the discontinued plans:

  • $39 unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 1 GB at high speeds, unlimited calls to 70 countries, $6.25 international call credit
  • $49 unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 1 GB at high speeds, unlimited calls to 60 countries, $25 international call credit
  • $59 unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 3 GB at high speeds, unlimited calls to 75 countries, $5 international call credit
Here are all of Lycamobile' current monthly plans:

  • $19 unlimited talk, messaging and 100 MB of data (hard capped) unlimited calls to 60 countries
  • $23 unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 1 GB at high speeds, unlimited calls to 60 countries, $1.50 international call credit
  • $29 unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 1 GB at high speeds, unlimited calls to 65 countries, $2.50 international call credit
  • $35 unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 6 GB at high speeds, unlimited calls to 60 countries
  • $45 unlimited talk, messaging and data with the first 7 GB at high speeds, unlimited calls to 60 countries, 200 domestic roaming minutes and texts.
  • $50 unlimited talk, messaging and high speed data (subject to deprioritization after 32 GB), 200 domestic roaming minutes and texts.
Lycamobile adds a 5% cost recovery charge to all online airtime purchases including auto refills.

Lycamobile is running a couple of money saving promotions currently:
  • Get four months of the $50 plan when you pay in advance for three months
  • New customers get 20% off their first month with code LYCA20 
In other Lycamobile news, the company is now operating as a Vodafone MVNO in Italy. With the addition of Italy, UK based Lycamobile is now an MVNO in 23 countries.
