ZTE has just announced its newest entry-level smartphone for the prepaid market.

Called the Tempo X, the device comes with a 5-inch display with an 854x480 resolution. It runs on a 1.1GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. For added storage, the phone includes a microSD card slot that can support memory cards up to 32GB.

Considering it is an entry-level device, the Tempo X has decent cameras. The first is a 5-megapixel main camera on the back. In front, there is a 2-megapixel camera available. The device also comes with a 2,200 mAh battery, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE, and FM radio. Upon release, the Tempo X runs on Android 7.1 Nougat.

If you are interested in getting this smartphone, you can get it from Boost Mobile for $79.99.

  3. Cute little phone. For light users, storage shouldn't be a problem, because ZTE usually allows internal formatting of the SD card, and with ZTE's near stock experience, even with the lower ram and rom, it'll probably run smoothly.

  4. That Boost mobile page from the link about it here is terribly outdated. Time for an update, maybe?

    1. The Boost Mobile operator profile was updated less than a month ago and looks current to me. What do you see that's outdated?

    2. Oh sorry, my bad. I was looking at the original posting date of 2011, I didn't really look further into the article.

  5. This phone is unnecessary because it is overpriced. There is the zte warp 7 with better specs for $69. The moto e is $59 at best buy and the zte prestige 2 is the same price with twice the ram and storage. This phone is a waste of everybodys time

  6. I was under the impression that Android 7.0 required at least 1.5 gigs of RAM to you even run Google services?

  7. I honestly don't know who would even buy a phone this underspecced.

It's too costly for an MP3 player, and the camera sucks too much to use it as a security camera.

Even as a hotspot, you could still find something cheaper elsewhere.

Why does this phone even exist?

    1. Maybe it's ZTE's budget counterpart to the iPhone X.
