TextNow Offering $25 Bill Credit When You Bring Your Phone Number

textnow-$25-bill-credit
TextNow is giving interested individuals a reason to switch. If you decide to bring your phone number to the Sprint and T-Mobile MVNO, a $25 bill credit awaits you.

If you're interested, the first thing you need to do is choose a data plan from one of TextNow's plan offers:

  • Short Plan ($13.99/month) - Includes 100 MB of data, unlimited talk and text to US and Canada
  • Promo Tall ($19.99/month) - Includes 1.5 GB of data, unlimited talk and text to US and Canada
  • Promo Grande ($13.99/month) - Includes 3 GB of data, unlimited talk and text to US and Canada (first month $13.99, succeeding month $27.99)
  • Promo Venti ($19.99/month) - Includes 4 GB of data, unlimited talk and text to US and Canada (first month $19.99, succeeding month $39.99)
  • Quattro ($29.99/month) - Includes 6 GB of data, unlimited talk and text to US and Canada (first month $29.99, succeeding month $59.99)

The plans include unlimited 2G data connection, which will take effect once the 3G/4G data allotment has been used up.

Once you've chosen a data plan, the next thing you need to do is bring your phone or purchase a new one. If your old number is from Sprint, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, or T-Mobile, you can quickly activate your device on the MVNO's network. Meanwhile, if you have an unlocked CDMA or a GSM-enabled device, you will need to buy a TextNow SIM card to use on your phone.

In addition to the bill credit, you can sign up for service with an extra $20 account credit through its exclusive deal with WhistleOut. So adding that with the $25 bill credit, that's a whooping $45 credit that you can already use for a free month (or two) of service.

If this is something you're interested in switching to, make sure to head over to TextNow's website since they are an entirely online business. You can pick up one of their phones or plans through their website.

  1. Looks like a pretty good plan. The plan names are interesting, it's like Starbucks combined with RingPlus.

    1. TextNow uses a WiFi first, data-first approach. If WiFi is available calls are VoIP over Wifi. If WiFi isn't available, but LTE data is. calls are VoIP over LTE. If neither WiFi or LTE are available calls use circuit switched voice.

    2. It is, and if wi-fi isn't available, you use sprint network, however, if you use Sprint too much they will cancel your account.Their wi-fi calling is extremely crappy, even with a pristine connection.

    3. "It is, and if wi-fi isn't available, you use sprint network"

Which means no signal of any kind. Nice :(

    1. You can't use a Boost or Virgin phone on any Sprint MVNO unless its been used on Boost or Virgin for 12 months.

    2. Boost phones used on MVNOs before Sprint closed the loophole with the FEC check will work. Like my Boost iPhone 6S. It’s even cleared to activate on the free unlimited BYO postpaid plan.

    1. As long as you have the original SIM that came with your Boost or Virgin phone you should not need a new SIM.

What happens when you go to https://www.textnow.com/wireless/activate , click the "Activate Phone" button under "I have am eligible Sprint or TextNow phone" and enter your information?

  7. Worthless promo, bad coverage, bad gimmick and terrible reputation for shutting down customers with reasonable usage.

    Nothing to see here.
