The new Motorola EX124G that I wrote about yesterday as showing up in some Walmart's is now available as a TracFone. It showed up today on the Tracfone Web site for $79.99 with double minutes for life. No special offers like a free refill or anything. You can at least use coupon code GI2011 to get $5 off on the price.
Early reviews have found that the touchscreen is harder to use than the one on the cheaper LG 500G which is probably why a (bleh) stylus comes with the phone. For more details and an unboxing video from Wontek see my earlier post on the Net10 version.

I bought the Motorola EX124G today (1/23/12)on the TracFone wed sight and it comes with triple minutes - I sending back my LG800g - don't like the touch on it....
ReplyDeleteDid you had a problem with the lock feature when trying to set-up/use voicemail? It does not respond when I press 1 for English. Then it locks again and again. It keeps asking "are you still there" and then it ends the call by apologizing and saying "Good Bye". It was purchased @ K-Mart 2 months ago and I'm stuck with it. I was told too bad you didn't purchase replacement insurence.
DeleteYou may just need to unlock the touchscreen:
Delete1. Press the power button.
2. A lock icon should appear on the screen. Slide it to the circle on the right to unlock.
WHERE did you guys buy the phones?
ReplyDeleteOn tracfone.com- but i'm hoping that walmart will carry it sometime.
DeleteCame across a message that Tracfone is discontinuing 2G service and I could get a free new phone. I am already on my second phone since this one (EX124g) because the touchscreen quit working. When I checked my eligibility it says "The serial number entered does not match the serial number associated to the phone number entered.". I had thought about getting a new touchscreen and fixing it and giving it to somebody. I guess I can just throw it away now.
