Deep Discounts on Phones at MetroPCS' Purple Tag Sale

Regional prepaid operator MetroPCS is having a "Purple Tag Sale" with prices marked down 35% from their lowest recent price. Some of theses phones are older models and had already seen substantial price cuts from their original prices. And now they've been cut even more. If your looking for an inexpensive replacement for your MetroPCS handset or are thinking about switching to Metro you should check this sale out.

Sale prices start at $12.35 for the Kyocera LayLo. There are three other phones under $20 including the full QWERTY Kyocera Torino at $18.85 image, left).  The most expensive phone in the lot is the BlackBerry Curve 8530 at $129.35. Quantities are limited so don't delay if you are interested in these deals.

For any remaining fans of Windows Mobile, the Samsung Code QWERTY bar phone (image, right) is available for $31.85. This might be your last chance to buy a brand new Windows Mobile phone.

MetroPCS offers unlimited prepaid talk, messaging and data at $40/month for non-smartphones, $50/month for Windows Mobile and Android phones and $60/month for BlackBerrys.

Update August 20th: Many of these phones are now sold out including the Code and the Torino.  Still some good deals left though.
