Leaked Images and Specs for Cricket's First LTE Phone

It looks like Cricket's finally getting an LTE phone to go with their fledgling LTE network which is live in Tuscon and Las Vegas. Twitter account @evleaks posted the image at the right along with a link to a CricketUsers forum thread containing the images of the phone shown below and the following specs:

  • Phone Model: LG MSM8960 Lx
  • Processor: 1.5 1.2 Mhz Dual-Core ARMv7 Processor (VFPv3, NEON)
  • OS: Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwitch)
  • Screen: 3.5 inch 320x480px Gorilla Glass
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM, 8 GB Internal memory
  • Camera: 5 MP with LED flash and 1280p HD video recording plus front facing VGA camera for video calls
  • Software Features: Dolby Mobile, DLNA, Wi-Fi Capable, Mobile Hotspot. Tethering supports up to 5 devices.
  • Battery: 1700 mAh, 5.4 hours of talk time, 290 hours standby
  • Dimensions: 4.37 x 2.39 x 0.45 in. (111 x 61 x 11.43 mm)
  • Weight: 4.72 oz (134 gm)

The specs are good, especially the processor, but the relatively low-res screen is a disappointment. As the phone hasn't been officially announced, the price and release date are unknown. Update: 14-Nov-2012. The LG MSM8960 has been released at the price of $249.99 in Cricket stores and $229.99 online.  Cricket published some specs for the phone which match the leaked ones pretty closely although the processor is 1.2 Mhz rather than 1.5. I've updated the specs above to match reality

Comment Page :
  1. Does cricket have better service than virgin mobile?

    1. Assuming you mean phone service it really depends on location. Virgin uses the Sprint network and Cricket roams on Sprint where it doesn't have its own network so basically they have the same coverage.

  2. EVERYONE! Exact same phone metropcs has! Its called the lg motion. I have the motion and metropcs' coverage for "4g" is much more broad
