AT&T MVNO H2O Wireless announced the availability of a new prepaid family plan today on their Facebook page. According to the announcement the plan is available now at "participating" retailers. It provides a discount off the price of H2O's $40 and higher monthly plans for multiple lines of service on the same account. The discount is $10 off for two lines, $20 off for three and $30 off for four.
Eligible plans for the family plan discount are:
- $40/month: Unlimited Talk, Text and Picture messaging, 100 international texts, $20 international call credit and 100 MB of data.
- $50/month: Unlimited Talk, Text and Picture messaging, 100 international texts, unlimited calls to 25 countries, $20 international call credit and 500 MB of data.
- $60/month: Unlimited Talk, Text and Picture messaging, 100 international texts, $20 international call credit and 2 GB of data (first 500 MB at full speed, the rest throttled to approximately 240 Kbps).
Until recently it was rare to see prepaid family plans. MetroPCS and Cricket have had them for a while. Last year NET10 began offering multi-line discounts and now H2O. It makes sense for prepaid MVNOs to offer family plans. as postpaid operators aggressively promote their family plans as being a better deal than prepaid for families.

If only they included their $30 plan, then we would be talking.
ReplyDelete$30 can be only primary line while $40/$50/$60 can be either primary or additional line
DeleteMeh. I'm underwhelmed, too.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to miss Straight Talk's $45/month AT&T plan.

Why? Did Straight Talk stop service for existing customers with AT&T SIMs?
Just no new customers on BYOP.
ReplyDeleteThat's why Att ST sims on ebay are seventy bucks.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me, I just activate two phones on Net10 ATT same as Straight talk 85/ month family plan and I bought the sims off ebay for $0.99 each...
ReplyDeleteDon't buy sraight talk or net .They both are the some company own by some man.my wife has a plan byop, she hasnt had a data for months.i have called them many times, they put you in recording saying because she listened radio!thats why? This month Im canceling
ReplyDeleteI'm using their service this month and don't care for it at all. The customer service is mediocre at best and they say they will upscale a problem that they can't fix and give you a call back in 2 to 24 hours and never do. I also can't get mms texts or send them. I can't wait for this month to be over and of course this month is a 5 wks. Oh, and I'm not going with any Straight talk because their talk isn't straight!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right. Straight Talk, like all America Movil companies, is extremely dishonest and provides terrible customer service.
Deleteanyone know of any dealers that offer H2O family plans? the ones i contacted say they aren't set up for it
ReplyDeleteTry Freedom Wireless of Bay City for the H20 Family Plan.
