24 Paid Android Apps For Free From Amazon Now Through July 1

Attention Android users, the  Amazon Appstore is running a big Android app giveaway.

Now through July 1st, 24 paid apps and games with a combined value of over $50 are free from Amazon. They include popular titles like Monument Valley, The Bards Tale, Alarm Clock Pro, Quell: memento, Weather Live, Table Top Racing, tinyCam Monitor Pro, Monkey Racing and Airport Mania 2. To get in on the free apps you need to have the Amazon Appstore installed on your phone. Get it from Amazon.com by clicking here using the browser on your phone. Follow the prompts to "Allow Unknown Sources" and finish the installation. Then go back to the list of free apps with your phone browser and start downloading. Or you can "purchase" the free apps using the PC web version of the Amazon Appstore.  Then launch the Amazon Appstore on your phone, tap the Menu icon in the top left, then tap My Apps and your purchases will show up on the Cloud tab.   1. Do you have to keep the Amazon app store in order to use/update these apps? Or will Google Play take over and deal with updates?

    1. Apps from the Amazon Store are also available in the Play Store will be updated, automatically if you choose that option, or you will get update notifications from the Play Store if you turn off automatic updates.

      If you uninstall the Amazon app most, but not all, apps installed from the Amazon Store will stop working until you reinstall and sign into the Amazon app.
