Can I set up a tmobile plan with a spare Sim and switch to ring +?!
ReplyDeleteI don't see why not.
DeleteI take it the $201 credit won't automatically apply and that ring plus's system won't know I'm porting from tmobile and that I'll have to pay the first month.
ReplyDeleteBased on how past promos have worked, the credit won't be applied for at least a day.
DeleteNo sprint branded iPhone allowed?
ReplyDeleteAll Sprint phones including iPhones are allowed on RingPlus provided they are fully paid for.
Deletedoes that include sprint prepaid or just the postpaid ones?
DeleteOfficially only the postpaid ones but the Sprint Prepaid phones currently seem to activate fine on RingPlus.
DeleteIt still wants payment for the port in credit, ring plus seems like they enjoy confusing the customer.
ReplyDeletePardon my skepticism but since top ups are non refundable, could ring plus be going on an initial top up run to make their balance sheet look better for a potential sale ?
ReplyDeleteWhat MVNO would offer a $201 port in credit? I wonder if ring+ is a shell operation to improve Sprints wholesale numbers. I believe the top ups are employed to help cover costs.
DeleteBetween simple mobile promo sims and ring plus I'm going to have a hard time justifying ever spending more than $15 a month on phone service again!
ReplyDeleteI was able to do 2 port ins on existing lines and was not charged.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by charged?
DeleteI had unlocked verizon samsung galaxy note 3 ...how can i signup for free plans ?
ReplyDeleteOnly certain models (newer) models of iphones and nexus phones. iPhone 5S and higher, Nexus 5, 6.
DeleteHow do they make money on this, giving away 1400 minutes every month?
ReplyDeleteAd revenue.
DeleteI still wonder how... I listen to their ads, and it seems to be more brief celebrity gossip about Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Justin Beiber instead of actual marketing.
DeleteYou just did it.
DeleteI can't find a way to port in as a new or existing customer, do I need to complete the entire registration first?
ReplyDeleteStart by choosing a plan, then enter the number you are porting when prompted during the sign up process.
DeleteI guess you can only port in once you set an account up, anyway I went for the Chagall plan and it charged me $15 off the bat , it says 2 months free, then $19.99 a month but says nothing about the $201 credit for porting from t-mobile. Between the credit and 2 free months I don't know where they got $15 from, confusing at best, my port all hasn't made it from t-mobile, anybody know if you can downgrade to a lower paid plan a few months down the road?
ReplyDeleteWa it I'm not sure if I qualify for the 2 months free in addition to porting from t-mobile $201 credit.
ReplyDeletehow long are the ads and is it really distracting?
DeleteFree minutes are great but if you have to sit through 30 secs or a minute of advertising might be aggravating.
The ads stop when the other party answers.
Deletethanks for the reply Dennis!
DeleteThat wouldn't be too bad ...listening to the phone ringing isn't that much fun!
so guess it's just a matter of trusting them with your credit card number..?
all the different plan names. ugh. hope they don't name plans after their discourse users. would definitely absolutely hate to see a Dlex troll plan that would come with stupid meme pictures forced on you via mms that you have to pay for out of overages. ugh would absolutely hate that. no no no. yuck. enough with the too many plan names already.
ReplyDeleteI'm on day 3 and my port still hasn't gone through, I've never had a port take longer than 5 minutes, also no $201 credit, Wish i had just left my number with T-Mobile.
ReplyDeleteLot of entitled people that recently joined RP. I wish it was back to the good ole days.
DeleteWait your turn like everyone else, thats the price you pay for free !!!
Has anybody seen their credit yet?
