Verizon is currently inviting smartphone users to make the switch to a smartphone plan on prepaid. And to help with your decision, they are giving a $75 port-in credit offer for a limited time period. When you make the switch during this promotion period, you will receive a $25 credit with $45 or $60 monthly plan renewal for the next three months.
Under their smartphone plans for prepaid, Verizon offers three different options. However, the first option is not eligible for the port-in credit offer. This means you only get to choose between the $45 and $60 monthly plan choices:
- $45/month - comes with unlimited talk and text and 2GB of data
- $60/month - comes with unlimited talk and text and 5GB of data
This $75 port-in credit offer by Verizon ends on April 30, 2016.

Additionally, signing up for auto-pay gets you an extra 1GB of data.
ReplyDeleteIf you are free aim user, I think Verizon win this competition.
ReplyDeleteAh Verizon ... you still have a long way to go to be competitive.
ReplyDeleteDefine Competitive? Verizon is making the most profits without being competitive in the Prepaid world. So there is no reason for Verizon to give away the store like T-Mobile and Sprint who don't make any real profits in prepaid or postpaid. It's a business not a charity.
DeleteI hope this is sarcasm because it wins the prize for dumbest remarks I've read on here in weeks. I know I will be switching over to them. Best coverage and full LTE speeds at a low price.
DeleteSo JeffMN gonna give up your Straight Talk 5 GB throttled "unlimited" using Verizons' Network for Verizon Prepaids' hardcapped $57 (CallingMart 5% discount included) 5GB Plan? 6 GB with auto-pay for around $65. Verizon Prepaid seems to me is upselling you.
Deletestraighttalk? $57? Put down the pipe. Not sure what any of this means. Wow..
DeleteEverybody is doing port-in credits now. I'm glad prepaid is getting competitive.
ReplyDeleteAm i missing something? I dont see the appeal of this over cricket unless this includes unthrottled LTE speeds. Are there still places where only verizon has coverage that AT&T doesnt?
ReplyDeleteDuh. Check the coverage maps linked from this blog.
DeleteIf that is too hard, download the Coverage? app and toggle on Verizon and AT&T. It will overlay their coverage maps and show you all areas where you are missing coverage with Verizon or AT&T.
Yes, It is unthrottled and if you travel at all, there is just no comparison to Verizon.
DeleteDo they charge a fee if you need to terminate the plan and port back out?
ReplyDeleteAm i missing something? I dont see the appeal of this over cricket unless this includes unthrottled LTE speeds. Are there still places where only verizon has coverage that AT&T doesnt?
ReplyDeleteJust b/c you have "coverage" doesn't mean you have good/great coverage. my bro-in-law has AT&T, post paid I think, and he has to stand by an outside wall to make a call at our in-laws place. I've also heard of people having issues and once again on postpaid. If there are issues with the post-paid network, can't imagine pre-paid would be all that great.
DeleteCoverage maps on provider general information. Both the ATT and VZW coverage maps show full coverage in my area (actaully a large metro city/wireless MTA). However,I experience very poor coverage in my home and office with ATT vs VZW. What is odd is that the Sprint (native network coverage is good in both of these places. Coverage holes are preent with all networks. have been frustated using Cricket (ATT network) and will be going back to a Verzion MVNO/Prepaid soon .
DeleteGoPhone has unthrottled LTE and HSPA+, no extra cost tethering and good CS.
ReplyDeleteCricket has none of those things, and their new mascot looks really dumb.
Does verizon charge to port your number back out? Anyone?
ReplyDeleteNo.
DeleteWould Verizon honor the $75 credit if moving from Verizon post paid to prepaid ?
ReplyDeleteUnlikely, Verizon doesn't want to encourage their postpaid user to switch to prepaid.
DeleteIt'a happened for others
