Now that LG has released this year's flagship, the LG G6, there is no doubt that the price of the previous model has also been reduced. One such example for this is Newegg Flash, who is currently The LG G5 is currently available at a discounted price of $299.99, a price which is 40% lower than its original retail price from other stores.

  1. The G5 LTE specs are wrong (they were also wrong in your earlier B&H G6 post). You copied these G5 specs from NewEgg Flash, apparently, not from LG or PhoneScoop. LG says the NewEgg Verizon-T-Mobile model has:
    LTE Bands 2/3/4/5/7/13.
PhoneScoop says this too. See their note under the band list.

What LG website are you looking at?

  2. The abovementioned RS988 variant is the unlocked version, and is compatible with ATT/TMO/VZW, not just VZW. LTE bands are B2/3/4/5/7/12/13/17/20/25.

VoLTE/HD Voice is apparently working on Verizon, but not wifi calling,

Bootloader is unlockable via LG, and it has decent community support on XDA, with official LineageOS support among others,

The phone was considered a flop at the $650+ MSRP last year. At $300, it's a considerably better deal. It should be considered for its Verizon compatibility in addition to GSM, which very few unlocked phones can claim. At the $300 pricing, only the Moto G4/G5 can say the same.
