Boost Mobile has recently given its $50 Unlimited Gigs Plan an improvement. Earlier today, the Sprint-owned prepaid brand announced that they would be including an international feature to the plan. The new feature, however, will only be available for a limited time.
Between the dates of June 2 to
The Todo Mexico Plus add-on includes the following features:
- Unlimited calls to and from Mexico and to Canada (landline and mobile, excluding 867 area code)
- Unlimited international SMS and 8 GB of data roaming while in Mexico (with a GSM roaming capable device)
- Unlimited (with some exceptions) high speed on-phone data
- 8 GB of mobile hotspot
- Unlimited talk/text (with 50 minutes of domestic voice roaming on select devices)
- Unlimited music streaming without data charges (with select partners)
Boost Mobile's music streaming partners include Spotify, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Slacker Radio, 8tracks, and Napster.
- New Boost customers should select the $50 Unlimited Gigs with Free Todo Mexico Plus plan at sign-up.
- Current Boost customers on other plans can switch to the $50 Unlimited Gigs with Free Todo Mexico Plus plan.
- Current $50 Unlimited Gigs customers can add the $0 Todo Mexico Plus add-on. They no longer have to go through a price plan change.
- Customers will continue to receive the free Todo Mexico Plus after July
1031 as long as they don't alter the plan or remove the add-on.
Update 7/12/17: Promotion extended until 7/31/17.

RIP Sprint
ReplyDeleteNo idea why they offer Mexico but not Canada. Do they not want more customers? This is why MetroPCS and Cricket beat them every quarter.
ReplyDeleteI believe it's about the economics. Mobile service is much more expensive in Canada than it is in Mexico or the US.
DeleteGSM operators AT&T and T-Mobile can make reciprocal roaming agreements with Canadian carriers to get free roaming for their customers. As a CDMA operator, Sprint is not a useful roaming partner for the major Canadian operators who all use GSM.
The ability to call Mexico probably attracts more people in the US than the ability to call Canada. Certainly not a big enough reason to push more people to Metro and Cricket (carriers using superior nationwide networks.)
Deletethis plan is mexico and canada free...read the fine print
ReplyDeleteThe promotion includes free calling to Mexico and Canada but the free roaming is in Mexico only, not Canada.
DeleteDoesn't really do anything for me, Next.....
ReplyDeleteMore incentive for T-Mobile to purchase Sprint.
ReplyDeleteAT&T and Verizon would get a real run for the money.
When the spectrum T-Mobile purchased for future 5G goes live, the coverage will be on par with Big Red.
LOL, much more likely they would divide the US market into thirds agree to fixed high prices.
DeleteBut it's mobile... People cross any border you could imagine inside the US. Your plan is from a landline mindset.
ReplyDeletecombo this deal with the "u pay one we pay one" and your charge for unlimited everything is only $25/mo. Just call customer service and ask for it.
