MetroPCS Launches 4 Lines of Unlimited for $100 Promo

MetroPCS, T-Mobile’s prepaid brand, has  announced a new holiday season promotion. Starting today, customers can get four lines of unlimited talk, text and LTE data for $100.  Three lines are $90, two lines are $80. There's no discount for a fifth line so five lines are $150.

Both new and existing customers are eligible for this promotion, but at least one of four lines must be a new activation.  If the new line is deactivated, all lines lose the promotional rate. This offer is available at MetroPCS stores only.

The plan includes unlimited talk, text and LTE data. Video is throttled to 480p quality, hotspot is not allowed and data is subject to deprioritization after 35 GB. Taxes and fees are included.

T-Mobile is also offering free phones to customers who port to MetroPCS. The following free phones are available; Alcatel Fierce A30, Coolpad Defiant, LG Aristo, LG K20 Plus, Motorola Moto e4, Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, ZTE Blade Z Max, ZTE Avid TRIO.

The four lines for $100 and free phone offers are good for an unspecified limited time.

  1. Metro sounds good, but it doesn't work in my area in Arkansas. I'll stick with cricket.

  2. Heh, Cricket is toast. Why pay the same price for 4GB and 8mbit throttle when you can get unlimited and a free phone. This is a great way to capitalize on the rumor that Cricket is dumping 5 for $100. T-Mobile ain't pulling punches, third-tier MVNOs can't compete.

    1. Why Cricket? for me it's very simple - "Signal availability".

My question - why go with Metro to get unlimited and a free phone when you cannot even get a signal in my area?

      Price is not everything.

  3. Unlimited Data, 10gb of mobile hotspot, 32gb of LTE data cap and a chance to get 4 FREE ZTE BLADE Z MAX'S is an AWESOME DEAL!!!!!! BUT....... I GET better reception with Boost Mobile in my area so i will remain on their 4 lines for $100 plan. Now if Cricket were to offer this plan also (praying that they do), I'M OUT.

    1. Long island NY. Believe it or not i get better service with Boost than Metro. inside buildings and basements Metro Pcs doesn't work. With Boost No problem. i was shocked. i only switched to boost because they had the 4 lines for $100 plan with 8gb of mobile hot spot!!!!!!

    2. It won't. T-Mobile and MetroPCS are really good at detecting hotspot use regardless of the device used and are strict on their enforcement of the no hotspot policy and will usually shut your data off.

    3. No hotspot means no deal!

  5. Just switched from Boost Mobile to MetroPCS. My data speeds are 3-4 times faster, never drop to 36, and I'm rockin the dual camera ZTE Z Max for free. I highly recommend switching. Whoop whoop.

    1. IT all depends on the area you live in. My only problem with Metro was inside buildings and basements. Besides that i had no problems with Metro Pcs.

When you say "inside buildings & basements" is your only problem with Metro Pcs.....I'm a hermit.....who would I switch to for 140-GB/month across 4-lines to watch TV? It's the bane of my existence.

  6. "Both new and existing customers are eligible, but at least one of four lines must be a port in of a number that's number not currently active on T-Mobile network."

It doesn't say "port in", just a new line.

    1. You're right. A port-in is only required for a free phone. I've updated the post. Thanks for pointing out error.

  7. I wonder, what tech is Tech mobile running that makes costs of operation SO much cheaper than ATT and VW?

How do they plan on making a profit on this deal?

Unless, even ATT and VW would also make a profit if they gave out 4 lines of Unlimited Data for $100, but ATT and VW just wishes to make more per customer.

    Just wondering.

  9. This article doesn't say how much two or three lines of unlimited would cost with this promo. I'm guessing its $100 no matter how many lines you get. Also, are there any activation fees?

    1. If you do a Google search you will discover that by using certain apps both on your phone and on the client device you can tether an Android device via a Bluetooth connection or a PC via a USB connection. This works with any phone on any carrier. However, its usually impossible, or at least more trouble than its worth, to activate the WiFi hotspot built into your phone. The apps in the Play store won't be able to activate the WiFi hotspot because the network will automatically disable the data connection. This will also happen if you try to tether via Bluetooth or USB without the use of certain apps that hide the tether. If you tether your phone to a PC you can use the PC to create a WiFi network that other devices can use to connect to your phone's internet connection. None of this requires that your phone be rooted, flashed, unlocked or modified in any way. Its as simple as installing an app on your phone and client device. If you are tethering an Android device via Bluetooth the client Android device will require an active WiFi connection to a network without an internet connection in order to get most apps to see the internet connection from the Bluetooth tether. This WiFi connection can come from a router without an internet connection or another phone's WiFi hotspot without a data connection. However, most Android browser apps will see and work with the Bluetooth tether without an active WiFi connection so if all you want to do is browse the internet you won't need a WiFi connection. If you're tethering on T-Mobile, MetroPCS or a T-Mobile MVNO you'll need to activate the feature that hides your tether from your carrier in the tethering app.

  11. I talked with a Rep from MetroPCS and I asked them if there was anyway for me to take advantage of this promo the 4 for $100? I already have four lines with them and they said well if I add a line than it would be 5 for $125. Now the question I have is under the Terms and Conditions it says that you can't remove one of the added lines or you would loose all of the promos on the other ones. But what if I remove one of my older lines would the plan than be 4 for $100 since I am not removing the added line? There is no mention that I can see that is says anything about if you remove one of your older lines, maybe I am missing something that I read under the Terms and Conditions for this promo?

  12. TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Promotional Rate Plan Offer: Requires activation of at least one new line of MetroPCS service. Offer not valid in IN. One line is $50, 2 lines are $80, 3 lines are $90, 4 lines are $100, with each line receiving unlimited data at up to LTE speeds on handset. If new line deactivates, all lines on account lose promotional price. Not eligible for further family plan discount. LTE connectivity requires capable device. Not available for more than five (5) lines per household/account. Combinable with select features.

  13. I expect these promotional plans to go away if T-Mobile and Sprint merge. Does Metro-PCS or Boost have a better track record of allowing customers to retain legacy plans?

  14. Boost offers 5 unlimited lines and 8gb of hot-spot per line for the same price

  15. Any way to get this plan online? My local MetroPCS dealers are owned by the same shady guy

    1. Yes.. U bring ur device with u and show him IN HIS FACE what the IN STORE PROMOTIONS are on METROPCS.COM. It's what I did to get around the slimebags who own the 4 stores in my area too... Until a new one opened up that's honest and duznt pit ppl thru the BS. They actually advertise in store specials!! Lol who knew they had POSTERS?? HAHA... Seriously tho, if they try arguing the proof in their face just leave. Find a T-Mobile store, relay ur problem to the manager and they should take care of u... Same network, same phones, just the parent company. They're quite good about cleaning up after shoddy sales ppl debacles.
